PC update time!!

My GPU (Nvidia GTX 970) needed a replacement, which meant a new motherboard meaning a new CPU and memory. So, costly, ... but here's the replacement:

AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT :))

Out with the old, in with the new

My biggest change in my brain is however the monitor set up. I had an old screen, on the left side, as a second monitor. Now, with Ephron's old monitor, I have set my main screen on the left.

(still need to tweak the colour settings)

I'll get used to it quickly I hope!

But yay fancy PC again!! Even the computer store owner said it was a very good choice :D

(the old computer parts are going to a friend who'll reuse them seeing as they still work fine. we just have too many outdated PC's ourselves already)

some UI fixes. finally fixed the labels in the prefs screen, figured out how to put the backgrounds on the choices, and changed the textbox slightly. moved val's side image over so it hopefully isn't covering any text anymore

DESKTOP DAY!!!

Hello my favorite folks on the internet, guess what???

Desktop pieces finished coming in last night and this morning I am typing this goof-ass hype post from my new, improved, awesome fucking desktop 

(hats off to besy boy boyfriend for putting it together and getting all cute about making something I’m so excited about)

I never knew I could fangirl over a piece of technology like this, yet here we are

I still have to wait until this weekend for my fancy smancy new mic, but by Monday I should be fully ready to start doing some test streams

I’ve made sure to download some great scifi/fantasy worlds for us to have fun and play around in, like Mass Effect, Skyrim, and of course Witcher 3

I’m sure I’ll be doing tons of storytelling jokes, singing, and general bardic tomfoolery, so if you’re at all interested, feel free to join me on this journey

We can do anything and everything so I’m hype

And of course I’m madly in love with Sims so hey let’s do a Spirk legacy challenge!

... I was kinda kidding when I said that in my head but now that I’ve typed it, if you fellow Star Trek nerds are on board, I am TOTALLY HERE FOR IT

Oooh and the vampire pack would make creating Data not the hardest thing ever

Anyway, I’m getting distracted by DaForge but the gist is that this bard is about to revv up the warp drive/horsepower (depending if we’re medieval or futuristic at any given moment)

Finally!!!

I figured out how to get my HDD to show up on my computer and it was pretty easy. Now, I have a city block-crushing desktop and nobody can stop me!!!

Once I build my new computer you can bet your ass that I will be playing a lot more League and ESO. (Trying to stay away from Dota2 but we all know that won't happen)
