Why don't you like Destiel? It's an honest question.
Ok I will bite. This is an anti-destiel post:
First to all, I don't have anything against shipping of any kind. I ignore what I don't like and that's it.
I follow blogs with destiel content but had to block the tag. The main issue is the spamming. There is just so much spam that the general tags became imposible to navigate, that was one of the first things I learned. Especially because my favorite character is Sam, who is not part of the pairing but still I needed to sort out a lot of destiel posts before getting any real content in a normal search. As example some will make a post with only "D&C forever" and tag every single character and actor of the show. If it were one or two isolated cases it would be reasonable but it is a very common problem.
I don't go to the general tags anymore but in a lot of those posts was also Sam hate.
Other thing is the claim that it must be canon. I just don't see it. Sure, I can tell why the ship exists as they had some good moments and the actors have chemistry but I don't see why people have the certainly that the characters are in love. Also there are fans with great art or editing skills that created moments that just never happened (mostly by replacing Sam with Castiel) but those edits are used as evidence that it's canon.
Because of that I dont get the lengths some fans have gone or the metas that claim that the ship will be canon based on the background color or which kind of water Dean drinks.
Basically, I can see cute post or read a fic but the spam in general tags became annoying very quick and I don't get the claim that it's canon because a lot of evidence is fanwork.
