Scott McCloud Destroy!! #1 The Red Basher mockup, art and final book (Eclipse, 1986) Source, source
hello GAYS!!! I never post my art on this website because my art is horrible and disgusting and I think this guy named Hex really encapsulates that.
He's my oc that's a hybrid of a dragon and a human which is strictly forbidden in dragon society (ANGST!!!!!!!!!!) because dragons and humans have been at war for a really long time. He's picked on a lot by other dragons so he lives in solitude in this mountain at the edge of his village.
He's somewhat respected since he's the most important scientist in dragon civilization as a whole, so he hasn't been butchered or beheaded because of that.
scott mccloud (of Understanding Comics et al.) did this hilarious one-shot called Destroy!! in 1986. he says on his site:
After Zot! finished its first ten issue run in late '85, I took a year and a half break (not entirely voluntary, since the book was losing money at the time) and, apart from moving office furniture, I also decided to do a giant-sized one-shot filled with nothing but pure senseless violence from beginning to end.
I got the idea when I first heard people complaining about a Marvel comic called SuperBoxers and claiming that it was "nothing but senseless violence from beginning to end." I thought this sounded cool, but was disappointed, upon acquiring a copy, to discover that SuperBoxers included a plot, characterisation, and other distractions. It wasn't PURE. Destroy!! was my attempt to get it right.
DESTROY!! #1, November 1986, Pencils: Scott McCloud, with interior page. The whole book is pretty much like that.
DESTROY!! was a one-shot comic created by Scott McCloud of Understanding Comics fame -
‘I got the idea when I first heard people complaining about a Marvel comic called SuperBoxers and claiming that it was "nothing but senseless violence from beginning to end." I thought this sounded cool, but was disappointed, upon acquiring a copy, to discover that SuperBoxers included a plot, characterization, and other distractions. It wasn't PURE. Destroy!! was half-jokingly credited by Alan Moore with getting the Image-era `90s started early.“

My weekly rpg character is based on Destroy‼️ He’s a magical zombie boy chasing down the person who murdered him :)
