FINALLY FINISHED!!!
Title: “Raw Doe” Time to finish: about 15 hours Program: Photoshop Layers: 121
Jesus CHRIST i am SO HAPPY to be done with this. After two different line-art sketches and a seemingly ENDLESS amount of color-swapping i finally found a scheme i`m happy with. I decided that i wanted my little deer to be much darker so i made her black and velvety and adorably solid (almost like dark chocolate) And the cakes had a TON of re-draws as i changed my mind about what i wanted the colors to be, with each new color i had to change the cake to match (from lack of planning ahead)
I had to learn how to paint/texture food like the anime folks do and boy that was an undertaking. In fact the entire project seemed like a complete mess until i colored the line-art. (which may still be fairly messy in some places)
In case anyone is wondering: THE CAKES: from top to bottom:
coffee cake, cherry short-cake, carrot cake, orange gelatin, peach jelly, chocolate bunt cake, white-chocolate raspberry cake, flan, strawberry sponge-cake, lemon-cream pudding-cake, chocolate-chip cookie cake, red velvet cake, Bavarian-cream filled chocolate pound cake, peach-whip topped fruitcake with honey glaze frosting.
In the end I think it was worth it. The textures alone took ages but i am honestly proud with the result. Plus, i got an autumn-themed project done BEFORE October, which is hella nice.
