Rating songs on Lady Ereshkigal's playlist
I did this for Inanna, figured it's probably time to do it for Lady Ereshkigal too!
If you didn't see my post about Inanna, a little warning is that my music taste is incredibly eclectic, and so are the songs on these devotional playlists. Another note is that some of these songs are Christian based Appalachian folk songs, and while I am not Christian, they are songs my ancestors sang and loved. Lady Ereshkigal urges me to listen to them not as Christian hymns I used to sing in church, but as songs my ancestors loved, to honor them.
Cup Runneth Over by Kiki Rockwell - 10/10
Írónta by Chasing Abbey - 1000/10, if you haven't heard it, it's a song by an Irish band about the colonization of Ireland. I'm distantly Irish, I've been trying to get more into the different parts that make up myself through ancestor work, which Lady Ereshkigal helps me with.
Down in the River to Pray by specifically Alison Krauss, but any version is good - 10/10 as I stated previously, it's a song my grandmother adored, along with my grandfather.
Ice Queen by Margø - 10/10, dark confidence
The Horror and The Wild by The Amazing Devil - 100/10
Warning by Jesse Detor - 10/10
Appalachian Hills by Driftwood Fire - 100/10, my family has been in the Appalachian mountains for generations, I can feel it in my bones
Téir Abhaile Riú by Celtic Woman - 10/10, a fun song in English and Irish Gaelic about a woman urged to return home and ignore the call to a port city

Hy-Brasil by Allison Russell - 10/10 gorgeous Irish folk story told with a beautiful, powerful voice

The Rebel Girl by Hazel Dickens - 100/10, a call to action during the formation of the unions in the coal mines and factories.
Roadkill by Meanstreak - 10/10, one of the first and only female hair/thrash metal bands from the 80s. The song is about death, and how time flies.

Don't Cry For Your Daughters Eve by Lydia The Bard - 1000/10
Bottom of the River by Delta Rae - 10/10, it sounds like an old southern worship song, I love it
For I Am Death by The Pretty Reckless - 10/10
