I had a dream DFO and Inko Shimura where when AFO and nana meet in the world of vestiges in the Liberation War, he says the following: haha stupid nana, I corrupted one of his grandchildren's morals and in the other I corrupted his genetics with mine , hahaha what are you going to do about it?
Y'know he would very much gloat about it if was given a chance. Like being responsible for ruining a whole bloodline is his thing. Look at how he erased any of Kudou's own blood line. Even woman who looked at him were killed.
So him wanting not just corrupting morality but genetics ain't much of a stretch for this man. Hence why the Inko Shimura theory still holds quite strong.
(Edit: we didn't realize that this theory was actually quite old and that this has been talked about before but I digress) This is entirely speculation but you know how Tenko's hair got lighter (almost white) and his eyes became red when his Decay quirk activated for the first time? Before that, both of them were black.
If the Dad for One theory is true, AND if Izuku was born with the Decay quirk as some theorize, it could have been that this quirk-related appearance passed down to him by his father could have just been yoinked along with his quirk, hence this fellow ^ right here looking like that. AFO's eyes, at least, could be a side-effect of his main quirk (All for One), since they're quite different from Yoichi's and they're twins (this only is an argument if they're identical twins, that is). With how often Izuku is compared to AFO and Tomura being compared to All Might/Yoichi in the source material, it just makes me wonder if Izuku, unknowingly, was actually a villain in Tenko's story. Being spared having Decay, he got the chance to become a hero just like Tenko dreamed of when he was a child (with his grandma being a hero as well), while Tenko was condemned to the destiny of a villain that was supposed to be Izuku's fate by birthright.
"Fantasy has become reality! In reality, things don't go like they do in stories! And now, I'll rewrite the reality [...] because you're so dear to me" - My Hero Academia, chapter 193
This is more for fun then any thing else but thought I'd share anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I forgot to mention that when I saw the MHA movie with my niece I mentioned the DFO theory and she said it made so much sense XD me out here recruiting the kids into our crazy DFO cult
How Izuku get Doctor Garaki?
When not even Endeavor can get the man for something he basically SPECIALIZED in?
This isn’t doctor Garaki and really shows how odd it is... Like a quirk custom baby literally Garaki specialty but he wasn’t contacted or maybe he just outright ignored his attempts.
While Izuku able to have him personally just to tell his ass he don’t got a quirk- This is a HUGE discrepancy if we are to believe their social status Endeavor should be the richer and famous one. Yet he didn’t get the Famous Pediatrician, yes he evil but no one knew that!
Daruma Ujiko is the name he is known by and Dr. Tsubasa.
The name Doctor Tsubasa is likely a fake name so that no one knows he is treating the Midoriya family. But we can see him looking exactly like Garaki and Ujiko!
Many people respected him and were unaware of his seedy nature because was always helpful and kind. Which makes the experiments he do even more messed up.
Also I think this be considered police brutality and is not something to glorify but that for another post!
I mean if someone recorded and posted this I’m sure many would flip out at the heroes behavior. But still it mostly odd that the only time we seen Garaki being a doctor is to Izuku. Not to Endeavor or anyone else.
Unless the child’s father is a really good friend and reccomended this ‘special’ doctor to Inko.
as much as I love dfo in fanfics, I don't know if I want I to be canon. Because like what exactly would it add to the story? Izuku doesn't care about his dad, it would just seem like pointless drama at this point. Maybe I can see it working if AFO doesn't care for him, maybe he was supposed to be an experiment to see if his quirk would pass down and it failed when Izuku was born quirkless, society and the king of quirks rejected Izuku for not having a quirk but Izuku rises past that and has all his dreams come true? I don't know, I just can't see it be thematically relevant in any other way.
That’s a perfectly valid feeling to have. Though I think calling it pointless is a bit much I understand some people just don’t like that kind of twist.
But it actually does work with the theme actually. If willing to indulge my thought process a bit.
I mean we already got the ‘pointless’ drama of Bakugou dying but now he apparently going to come back with open heart surgery nothing is really off the table. That provides theme of saving those that seem beyond saving which pisses Tomura off who had been abandoned and no one but AFO gave a crap. So Izuku just not caring about his dad and it turn out to be AFO wouldn’t really change the story direction.
But it WOULD provide another layer.
That EVERY villain, even the worst of the absolute worst, can have loved ones. That there is no such thing as a true monster, that a bastard can be someone you care or love. It can be someone you haven’t seen in a while.
It doesn’t need to be a huge kind of drama, even if AFO did ‘care’ about his son like he did with his little brother it wouldn’t make him kind. This is a man who hoards people like treasures and vaulted his brother, not kill. There is evidence that is how this man is even to those he seems to care about. He’s killed for less.
Honestly this is why I don’t really like a lot of depictions of DFO in fanfics since they don’t match the canon mood. He is either too nice(Again locked brother in vault) or TOO much of an aloof bastard(like dude he cares a wee bit too much). Don’t tell anyone this.
He can care and STILL be an absolutely irredeemable bastard because he was selfish.
If is DFO he could be the antithesis of other parent heroes who sacrificed themselves for strangers like Nana who abandoned Kotaro, or Kota’s parents who died in the line of duty. Or Endeavor who so blind to heroism doesn’t even see the family he is hurting.
Because he ‘cares’ but he hurts people, he will do anything he can to KEEP the family without their consent. If Nana and Kota parents can be seen as selfless because they help ‘strangers’ then DFO is selfish for only ‘caring’ about family to the point of toxicity. I wouldn’t even be surprised if he used a quirk to make them forget or be unaware he ‘left’ so can insert himself back once it over.
It also be a interesting way to humanize AFO and I know people don’t like that but sometimes it important to make the villain ‘human’ so people know it can come from anywhere.
HOWEVER, it doesn’t mean you have to like it. I’m just telling you that if it happens it can be used as a way to show the other side of the spectrum.
TLDR; DFO can actually provide layers and show that anyone obsessed or so selfish with their family instead of leaving for greater good can also be harmful. Also someone evil can produce someone good. As I’m sure him abandoning his family to fight All Might certainly is fucked up but he does it for the selfish reason as to keep them around.
AFO an entitled person who think family belongs to him even when didn’t do shit with them.
As All Might in canon said, “Justice is Born from Evil.” But I know it not everyone cup of tea~

Summary:
When you're the symbol of evil but still want to play family you have to take responsibility for them. Though what happens when you get your head caved in and forced to not be able to see them least you want your enemies finding out and ruining their normal lives? Clearly All for One never considered that possibility...
So I made a new chapter! Not promising anything about continuing since it honestly works fine as stand alone but I enjoy writing Hisashi missing his family.
