After spending the first 10 days on planning, I’ve started the actual programming for my Dialogue Jam game entry, and here is my progress so far! My game is told through a series of letters exchanged between Cecil and Julian, as Julian tries to figure out what is happening with a strange illness going through the town he lives in.
A Winter Away is a 5-10 minute, (mostly) epistolary visual novel about a daughter duck processing being far away from her aging mama. Made in 5 days, from scratch, for the @neointeractives Dialogue Jam.

What kind of stage direction is approved? I know theater i just want to clarify if there are any specifics. Can you give examples? And do you need a following to submit?

For the Dialogue Jam, you can use any form of stage direction as long as it's kept minimal. So something like
Antigonus: I am gone for ever. [Exit, pursued by bear]
or
New York City, 1902 Character: I'm talkin' here.
would be totally welcome! Just don't have a whole paragraph of descriptive or info-declaring prose in there.
You don't need a following to submit to the jam! Anyone is welcome to enter, whether you're just getting into IF or you've got loads of projects under your belt.
