If Stormlight Characters Had Fursonas...

As (sort of) requested by anon. :)

Anon requested characters in general, but I ended up with a whole list's worth of just Stormlight. I'll do the other characters in a sequel some day, if this goes over okay!

And for the record, they are not limited to the animals of their planet or even of the Cosmere, because where would be the fun in that...

1. Adolin

Adolin: Mine is a unicorn, of course. Adolin: It's a horse...with a sword on its FACE. Adolin: Truly the perfect animal.

2. Kaladin

Kaladin: My fursona is the wasp. Kaladin: It flies. It defends its own. And it has its own spear. Adolin: Butt spear! I love it! Kaladin: ...You don't have to put it like that.

3. Leshwi

Leshwi: I am the noble falcon. Leshwi: Soaring high above the lands, bringing swift death to her enemies. Kaladin: ...Can I change my answer? Adoiln: Don't you dare!

4. Shallan

Shallan: Well, it may not be a traditional answer... Adolin: Kaladin's a wasp. Shallan: Good point. Shallan: Anyway, mine is a shrimp. Kaladin: Because of...shrimp colors? Adolin: Because shrimp is bugs? Shallan: Both, yes!

5. Lift

Lift: No question about it. I'm a squirrel. Lift: I may have a better memory than most squirrels, but I can't deny that I am a squirrel. Wyndle: I-Is that why I saw you burying pancakes in the garden??

6. Taravangian

Taravangian: I like to tell people that I am a tanuki. Taravangian: Fluffy, sleepy, absent-minded... Adrotagia: Crafty, intelligent, dangerous... Taravangian: People never think I know that part. :-3

7. Moash

Moash: May be "basic," but my fursona's a dog. Moash: Loyal, dependable, fierce. Moash: And you do NOT want to see me go rabid.

8. Renarin

Renarin: I like myself as a raccoon, I think. Renarin: People think they're off-putting and that they like trash or things like that, but they're actually very clean! Curious! Smart! Rlain: S-So cute... Renarin: That's a benefit too.

9. Szeth

Szeth: A sheep. Szeth: I always wanted to be a sheep. Kaladin: I-I think you'd make a great sheep! Szeth: ...Thank you.

10. Navani

Navani: Mine is a beaver, I think. Navani: Industrious engineers, that's what beavers are. Navani: And what is Urithiru, but my giant beaver lodge? Sibling: Don't bring ME into this!

11. Dalinar

Dalinar: I am the noble bison, the great and majestic animal that faces into the storm rather than fleeing from it. Dalinar: Steadfast. An integral part of its herd. Strong. Somewhat smelly. Navani: You could just wash your fursuit, Dalinar. Dalinar: Bison are naturally a bit smelly.

12. Jasnah

Jasnah: A crow is beautiful, intelligent--it uses tools. It remembers grievances. It goes where it pleases. Shallan: ...Did you make animatronic wings that can fold or unfold and that look--hauntingly realistic? Jasnah: Do you think I do things halfway?

13. Elhokar

Elhokar: I am a lion! Elhokar: King of the jungle! A mighty hunter! Respected by all! Wit: I love your mane, your highness, but you know that female lions do most of the hunting, right? Elhokar: ... Elhokar: I can lose the mane.

14. Dieno

Dieno: I can be no other animal than that greatest of all escape artists! Dieno: The octopus! Dalinar: ...He's not even a mink?

15. Rlain

Rlain: Well...I suppose it is more of an aspiration than anything else... Rlain: But I'd be someone from the Reishi isles. Someone who embraces freedom and fun but is still brave and smart. Renarin: ... Renarin: ...Is your fursona a human? Rlain: Is that an issue?

Kinda deviated from your request a little bit but anyway Dieno is safe and rescued 😌

Rating of the shiny Hydreigon line?

Dieno: Dieno's shiny is decent. I don't really know if there's a lot of rationale behind the green (maybe hearkening back to its original "tank" design or something?), but to be fair I don't know if there was a ton of rationale behind the original blue either. The gray accents just change to be slightly darker, but that's fine considering that the blue/green and red/purple swaps are very obvious.

My only real note about it is that I'm not really convinced the green and purple work well as a combo. It's not really a problem here because the purple is on the dark gray, but it becomes more obvious once it evolves. Maybe if the green were just a bit lighter or the purple was less magenta-y it would help. I could also see the purples being yellow, though I think they were trying to keep the flesh-wound idea somewhat in place. Not a huge issue either way though.

Zweilous: Zweilous only really needed to the exact same thing as Deino—and it does! So no issue there. Once again, the colors are distinct and I like how the purple "pops" in a similar way to the original red.

Hydreigon: Hydreigon makes it an even three-for-three (pun intended) by also following the same color swaps as its pre-evo. Once again, not a whole lot to say; it's consistent and easy to tell apart from the original.

Overall: A set of very consistent shinies that can't be mixed up with the originals. I feel like the colors are a bit low-contrast and vibrate a little, but beyond that, they're fine.
