EXAM DIARIES DAYS 4 & 5: Thursday, 23rd of May, and Friday 24th May 2024.
On Thursday, I had Nutrition Interventions in HIV/AIDS and Research Methods.
Nutrition Interventions in HIV/AIDS:
I was pretty unbothered for this paper! I had done a class on HIV and AIDS when I started college, my lecturer was very thorough. He would even read the notes out for us. So I really had a few things to read about.
I'll give this exam an 8/10, I actually smiled when I flipped the paper around to see the questions.
What I wish I had done while studying was that I changed the format of my notes! They were very cramped, and I could barely make out my own handwriting. So I'll work of that too.
My motivation for the next paper was that I had a lot of content to cover and that I'd probably come up with a topic for my research project (I'm interested in obesity, nutrition in special needs and diabetes btw).
Ooh, this paper was a bit challenging since the format was slightly different. Instead of writing our answers on a separate paper, we wrote on the question paper instead. That really threw me off.
I'll rate this paper a 5/10 since the MCQS had such similar answers, and I was super confused. I also felt a bit blank for the last question even if I had read for it.
What I wish I did while studying was that I had tried to understand some concepts instead of cramming.
Today, I had management of malnutrition. I wasn't motivated to study, I fell asleep and didn't hear my alarm. So, instead of my 30 monute nap, I slept the whole night and woke up 3 hours before my exam, lol. Luckily, I did a class that covered some of the units for this class last semester.
I rated the paper 6/10. I was okay with the questions, but I got B as the answer for the first 5 questions. I started getting anxious because I kept thinking, "How can every answer be B?"
But it's okay, I chose the right answers. Another thing was that the questions were confusing, too, I was questioning if my lecturer would laugh at my answers at that point. But the paper was still fair in the end, I hope I'll pass.
What I wish I had done while studying was to mark out similar topics so that I could save time while studying. I also wished I prioritised the topics too.
Well, that's all for now. I'm glad I've finished my exams, I can't wait to just lay in bed and enjoy my weekend. Now that I know what my end of semester exams will be like, I feel compelled to study. I have roughly one and a half months to study for my end of semester exams. Let me just say that I have to get off my ass and study since I'll be in hospital next semester, not just any hospital either. My hospital of choice is a well-known one!
