Today's question: Who are your favorite characters in Digimon?
Miyako nodded, "yeah yeah, just give me a minute", Miyako said. Her fingers still gliding over the keys.
"You said that five minutes ago", Ken pointed out.
Miyako rolled her eyes behind her laptop, ignoring what Ken said. She just needed to finish this one thing and than they could all go.
"Ugh, all this waiting is killing me", Daisuke groaned. "Hm, I'm used to it, spending years with Koushiro, this is nothing new", Takeru said.
"At least you have something to do!" Daisuke yelled, pointing at the notepad that Takeru was currently writing on.
"Calm down, Daisuke", Ken said. "Yeah, I'm sure Miyako won't take much longer", Hikari said. "What are you even doing, Miyako?" Iori asked.
Miyako looked up from her laptop, seeing that everyone was now looking at her.
"I'm helping Koushiro with a program, just something to help track Chosen Children around the world", Miyako explained.
"Wait, you're tracking me?" Daisuke said, leaning up and staring at Miyako.
"Trust me, you're the last person I want to know more about", Miyako shot back, which got her a glare from Daisuke.
"I think I remember hearing Koushiro talk about this", Hikari said. "Yeah, he had an old program but it wasn't the best and he wanted a new in incase something happens", Takeru added.
"You mean like when Chosen Children started going into comas?" Ken asked and Takeru nodded.
"Still doesn't change the fact hat you're spying on me!" Daisuke yelled, crossing his arms over his chest.
Miyako rolled her eyes, "no, that's not what this is", Miyako answered.
"Than what is it?" Daisuke asked, squinting his eyes.
Miyako looked down at her laptop, saving what she was doing and closing it. She really wanted to finish this, but if she explained this and tried to finish this they all wouldn't be able to hang out.
As much as Miyako got wrapped up in her work and wanted to finish it, she liked hanging out with her friends more.
"It uses the power that your digivices emit to pinpoint the location of a Chosen Child in case they need help and can't answer messages", Miyako explained.
Miyako stood up, walking over to Daisuke.
"So", Miyako said, grabbing Daisuke's glasses off his head, "there's no need to worry about me spying on you", Miyako said.
Daisuke stood up, grabbing his glasses back and whipping them off. "Plus, if I were going to spy on all of you, I'd do it differently", Miyako said with a roll of her eyes.
"If?" Ken asked. "How would you?" Iori asked.
"Yeah!" Miyako yelled.
"If I were I would just hack into your devices and learn every little thing you all do when on them", Miyako explained.
"It's not as hard as you all think, I could do it in an hour probably", Miyako said.
"Wow, I didn't know you were so good with this Miyako", Hikari said. Miyako smiled proudly.
"You're impressed, I'm concerned", Takeru said. Everyone looked over at Takeru, who had put away his notepad.
"Who knows what you do, I'm not sure if I believe the fact you haven't already hacked into our lives", Takeru said.
Miyako smirked, walking over to Takeru. "I've hacked me way into your hearts", Miyako teased.
"Plus, when it comes to you I'm sure there isn't that much to learn", Miyako said with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Expect, what you searched a few nights ago", Miyako said as she walked past Takeru.
Takeru's face went red, and he snapped his head backwards to look at Miyako.
"Did you hack into my laptop!" Takeru yelled.
Miyako smirked at Takeru, "maybe", Miyako said.
Miyako didn't, no matter how much she teased her friends she would never do that.
Takeru just asked her to fix his laptop, and Miyako accidently saw something she shouldn't have.
Miyako kept it a secret, and she would, but that didn't mean she could use it to tease Takeru.
"Miyako!" Takeru yelled, now fully turning to face Miyako with his hands on his hips.
"It's rude to hack into other people's things, Miyako", Hikari said. "Yeah! Who knows if she's done it the us!" Daisuke yelled.
"I must say, it is quite impressive how far you've come when it came to your skills with technology", Iori said.
"Yeah, you've become a full blown hacker", Ken said.
Miyako smiled, she was impressed with how far she's come.
She remembers when she was younger and would always fix Iori's computer, how she looked up to Koushiro and his skills.
Miyako wasn't sure if she would ever be as good as him, but now look at her, helping Koushiro with something.
"Wait, what did you see on Takeru's laptop?" Daisuke asked.
Takeru's face went red again, and he stuffed his hands in his pockets, looking down at the ground.
"Nothing", Takeru answered for Miyako.
"I doubt that", Ken said. "Yeah, it had to be something", Daisuke added. "Seeing how embarrassed you are it must be something", Hikari added.
Takeru's face just got redder, looking up at Miyako.
Miyako smirked, and Takeru glared at her.
"Well, I could tell you all", Miyako said, accentuating some of the words to tease Takeru.
"Or, I could keep it a secret, if Takeru buys me some drinks", Miyako said.
Takeru almost immediately reached into his pocket, pulling out a few hundred yen and walking forward to hand it to Miyako.
"Thank you", Miyako sung as she stuck the money into his pocket.
"Wait, what was it!" Daisuke yelled as he ran past Miyako to follow Takeru, as he kept walking away from the others.
"Daisuke, don't push him", Ken said as he followed the gogglehead. "I wonder what it was", Iori spoke as he walked past Miyako.
Hikari walked over to stand next to Miyako, "you never hacked his laptop, did you?" Hikari asked.
Miyako shook her head, "no, just saw it by accident", Miyako explained.
"Blackmailing Takeru wasn't nice", Hikari added. Miyako looked over at her partner, "I'll get him something as a sorry", Miyako said.
Hikari smiled, shaking her head.
"Just don't use your smarts for something like this again, don't turn into a real hacker", Hikari said as she walked away.
Miyako followed her, "I don't know, I could be a good hacker", Miyako said.
"Think of all the money I could make", Miyako added. "By people hiring you or by blackmailing people?" Hikari asked.
There weren't that many people here, which was quite shocking to Ken seeing as the subway was always overcrowded.
Maybe it was because it was winter, school out for the holidays so there aren't that many students.
There were just a bunch of people in suits, waiting for the next train just like Ken was.
Even with less people, it was still pretty loud.
Basically everyone having some kind of conversation on their phone, the horns of the trains, and even the sound of the passing trains zooming past the platform.
Ken was used to the sound, Japan was a very loud place, but Ken was most used too the sound of the trains.
The trains were the most common way Ken used to get from Tamachi to Odaiba and back, which is what Ken was doing now.
Ken was sitting on a bench, Daisuke sitting by his side as they both waited for a train to come and take Ken back to his house.
Ken liked this, sitting in silence with Daisuke by his side as they waited.
It was peaceful, the slightly cold air making both boys scoot closer to each other, nothing to be said because they already tell each other everything.
"I hate this", Daisuke said.
"Hate what?" Ken asked.
"Well, first off, all this waiting", Daisuke answered. "I warned you the train takes pretty long", Ken reminded Daisuke.
Daisuke grumbled. Ken did warn Daisuke that the train takes long, but Daisuke still volunteered to come and wait with Daisuke.
Ken wasn't going to stop Daisuke, he wanted to spend as much time with the gogglehead as he could.
"I also hate this", Daisuke added.
Ken looked over at Daisuke, seeing that he was looking down at his hands which were folded on his lap.
"Just waiting for you to leave", Daisuke whispered.
It was a little hard for Ken to hear Daisuke, but he did.
Ken looked away from Daisuke, looking down at his feet, Ken didn't want to leave either, but he had two.
He just spent two days in a row at Daisuke's apartment, and while Daisuke's parents were glad to have him, Ken was sure that his parents missed him.
Plus, Ken still had work he needed to do before school started back up again, and so did Daisuke.
If they stayed together, they would never get it done.
They'd also be a lot less happy.
Ken looked back over at Daisuke's lap, moving his hand to place it on top of Daisuke's.
"I have to go, but that doesn't mean we won't see each other again", Ken said.
Ken looked up, just to see that Daisuke was already looking at him.
A train blew past, the wind blowing everything around and the sound of the train against the tracks filling the air.
Ken smiled, "plus, you know we can't be away from each other for wrong", Ken said.
Daisuke nodded, the wide smile that never failed to make Ken happy appearing on Daisuke's face.
"Yeah, we'll see each other in a couple day's, right?" Daisuke asked. Ken nodded, opening his mouth to say something but the intercom buzzed.
It said the next train that was coming was going to Tamachi, which meant that Ken was leaving soon.
Ken let go of Daisuke's hand, getting up and walking over to the tracks to wait for the train.
The train soon rolled in and stopped at the station, the doors opening.
Ken looked back, seeing Daisuke now standing and waving Ken goodbye.
Ken waved, before looking away and getting on the train. The doors closed soon after, and Ken sat down on the train.
Ken looked out the window, seeing Daisuke still standing at the station, looking at Ken.
Daisuke said something, but Ken didn't know what it was because he obviously couldn't hear it.
It doesn't matter though, Ken would ask Daisuke when he saw him again.
