While normally herbivorous a large male dinopithecus has resorted to hunting and eating an impala as a means of supplementing his calcium poor vegetarian diet.
terrible cat vs terrible ape in the pliocene africa
i also make animal art, both extinct and extant!
Dinopithecus of Yorkshire
Huge fan of your stuff, made good use of it when I was running a jungle/dinosaur themed campaign. Is there any way you'd be willing to stat out Dinopithecus?
If you want a realistic Dinopithecus, a baboon with the giant template is the way to go. If you want a more pop culture killer monkey Dinopithecus, the devil monkey with the young template would do the trick nicely.
So something interesting that I think no one talks about is the fact that like the baby baboon team fortress classic heavy gave birth to is that it’s supposed to be a mega baboon. I was worried at first it wouldn’t be accurate to legit baby baboons but for the most part it is. Anywho I think the mega baboon in the team fortress universe might be their equivalent to a Dinopithecus which were HUGE baboons that went extinct a good good while ago. Idk I like to think medics raising a baboon that could tear a man in two.

DAY 20 - DINOPITHECUS
Dinopithecus ingens, a large omnivorous baboon-like monkey from South Africa and Ethiopia during the Pliocene-Pleistocene, carries her baby on her back across the Savanna.
