chimerism flag
[pt: chimerism pride flag]
chimerism is used to describe those who have two or more sets of DNA due to embryos merging during fetal development. traits of chimerism vary widely, such as splotches of different skin colors, different eye colors, varying facial and body features, ambiguous genitalia, ovotestes, gonadal dysgenesis, etc.
an icon of a chimera and two mixing splotches (meant to appear similar to a globe) were both included for those who do not like the chimera imagery!
a version with the intersex circle was included for those who consider themselves intersex due to their chimerism. someone with chimerism can have mixed XX/XY, XX/XX, XY/XY, and many other combinations of sex chromosomes.
green was chosen for nature. yellow was chosen for community and genderlessness. white was chosen for wholeness. blue was chosen for unity. purple was chosen from the intersex flag.
