My favorite animals vibeing in the wild books will always be wolves of the beyond. Adopted families are important, actually developed relationships, celebrations/holidays, art/song, friendships done better, etc. It has some flaws I'll admit. Ppl pushing the mc into a bad position and "disability goes away with magic" for a lot of the characters, but even then it still felt more idk fleshed out y'know?

i have the first and fourth books and i only picked them up because a girl i knew (whos oc they named faolan) said they were good?? but i read a bit of them and they actually are good

made dawnpelt a mostly cream dilute torbie inspired by the fact that she was originally described as gray! and it suited her name nicely i think. i actually love dawnpelt a lot and i can't help but feel like her tragic fate was comeuppance from the erins for her accusing jayfeather for murder which is... fair i guess. but still i just love tawny's kids lol
