Just "finished" these and we're really proud of them

We say finished in quotes because it's never really finished, but any new additions will be at a much slower pace

It's been roughly 4 + 1/2 years since we started these and wow!!! Yay!!!

The newest additions were velcro flaps over the pockets which probably just look like random green/blue plaid rectangles, but we're so hyped to go to a show or a club and not worry about shit falling out of our pockets 🎉

This has been such a huge special interest thing for the last few years and it's wild to have it "done"... not to worry tho we definitely still have a big list of sewing/diy projects 😅

FINAL JACKET UPDATE!

Here’s the full jacket for PHM! I’m seeing it tomorrow and actually couldn’t be more exited to the point it’s a problem. I made some bracelets for it too

Wow this blog has over 100 followers! I think nows a good a time as any to show off my battle jacket. A lot of the patches are hand embroidered while others I got direct from the artists!

<3 Big jacket update <3

After months of figuring out what to make my back patch I realised the perfect inspo was Heavenly’s “riot twee” shirt design! It felt very me (although I did take some creative liberties with the colours)

I’m insanely proud of this! It came out so clean and accurate to the original design and I didn’t even use a stencil for it! Also the lace detail around the edge turned out beautiful too. I’ve only been making patches/DIY properly for a year now but I’ve seen myself improve so quickly and I’m glad this is a representation of how that has culminated.

Until another big idea strikes again I might leave the jacket alone for a little while and focus on some pants I’ve started which has no particular theme - it’ll just be more music I like of multiple styles jumbled together.

I cannot wait until it is cold enough again to wear this to a gig (even though there’s only one-two other people in my scene who fully get my twee(mo) self amongst a sea of punks, hardcore kids, and metalheads)

ok rly random and likely dumb question, but when making patch/battle jackets is there a reason most patches are white text on black fabric?

mostly asking because i’m working on adding more patches to mine and i kinda wanna use different color text just cause i don’t have much white left, but i just wanna be sure it doesn’t have some meaning i don’t know about (like the lace code or similar), or if there’s another reason

but uh ya just wondering, and aso would ye like to see the jacket when it’s done? :3
