It's been a while since I really promoted my longfic myself, but might as well give it another shot, now that I've hit 60k and we're finally at the payoff.

"Give me your katana.” Squinting in his direction, Kuro raised her brows inquisitively.
"Why?”
"So I can carry it for you.” Giyu stated matter of factly, as if the solution was blatantly obvious.
Maybe for him it was.
"You don't have to carry it for me. I can…“ Kuro began to disagree, but she was interrupted by Giyu's calm patience. "It'll be in the way.”
Although still not understanding what exactly he was planning, she complied and pulled the sheathed sword from her belt to hand it over. "In the way for what?”
He did not answer, instead she sensed him move around her and barely a moment later one arm came around her back, another behind the back of her knees.
Then she was simply lifted off the ground.
Just like that.
No words. No warning.
Barely a sound save for the rustle of fabric and her little surprised gasp.
"What are you doing?” Kuro yelped, slightly scandalized as she sat in his arms, held firmly against his chest and legs suspended in the air.
"I'm carrying you.” He stated the obvious, but there was no hint of sarcasm or mocking, just his usual calm tone.
"Yes but -“
" - Kuro. How much can you see?” He interrupted her again and she held her tongue. He did have a point. It wasn’t like she was complaining about this newly achieved proximity. More the act of being picked up without preparation or consent.
She angled her face towards his and no matter how hard she blinked she would have only made a strong guess if she said that he was looking at her. Her uncomfortable expression seemed to be enough for him. "The floor is full of vines and roots. We're quicker if I carry you.”

Summary: Toji being a sexy, flirty menace.
Read all chapters here on AO3:
He started to seek her out in the library. Lurking near her, pretending not to find the books he was searching for as an excuse to rope her into conversations. Orbiting her had turned into somewhat of a hobby.
Today he wasn't there for books though. Today he had a different plan.
Toji found her between the rows of books, plucking some from a cart, thumbing through text books before shelving them away. Toji approached, broad shouldered confidence on legs.
He placed an arm on the shelf above her head and her back melted into the wall of books.
“Can I- help you?” She schooled her voice to sound professional, but he saw the way her eyes flitted all over him, lingering here and there. Pleased with her reaction, he leaned in - just a little. She tried and failed to act unimpressed, but Toji knew those tells and he saw exactly how her lashes fluttered when she inhaled.
“Yeah, actually.” He grinned at her and pulled out his phone with his free hand. “I don't have your number.” Toji offered her the unlocked phone, contact open and ready for her to type in her info. She did. No further encouragement needed. Easy.
He winked at her and snapped a quick picture, her face sporting an adorably overwhelmed expression.
“Contact pic.” He clarified. “So I see your pretty face when you call.” He slipped his phone back into his pocket and winking tapped her chin with his knuckle and left. A faint "what the hell “ followed him when he rounded the corner, but he didn't turn back. He had places to be.
On his way out he snapped a quick selfie - thirst trap might have been the better word - and sent it to her, with the caption “so you can see my pretty face when I call you, gorgeous 😉”
Gorgeous:
I see your need for all those muscles. You would be crushed under all that ego otherwise.
Toji:
Yeah, definitely. You like it tho, don't you?
Toji:
The muscles and the ego. 😏
Gorgeous:
I will refrain from answering that.
Toji:
No need, your eyes tell me all I wanna know, girl. I have no objections if you wanna lick those muscles… I can recite the medical terminology as you go, if you're interested…😉
Gorgeous:
Right. This was a mistake, I'm blocking you. Goodbye 👋
Toji:
Harsh. 💔
We're not even half an hour into this relationship, you're already breaking my heart, babes. 😰 Been looking for a study partner…
Gorgeous:
This is not a relationship…
Toji:
Could be though.😏
Gorgeous:
?!
Toji:
Totally knew you wouldn't block me btw.
Gorgeous:
🙄
Toji:
Fine. Since you obviously can't stop yourself from texting me I have a proposal for you
Toji:
Gonna hit the gym now. After that we talk about our dinner plan for tomorrow night, yeah? If you're free of course. 🫡 Later princess.
Gorgeous:
(...)
He watched her type, stop, type and stop again, before he threw his gym bag into the locker and went to meet Sukuna. Ready to do some lifting and maybe talk about this girl that was somehow already occupying way too much of his head space.
—
Toji :
Good morning beautiful
Gorgeous :
Oh so you're that kind of guy, are you?
Toji

Toji:

Gorgeous:
You want to bring me coffee?
Toji:
You want breaklast, too?
Gorgeous:
Do you always make such an effort?
Toji:
Absolutely not
Gorgeous:
What's your deal then? Where's the catch?
Toji:
Me. I'm the catch 😏
Gorgeous:
🙄
Gorgeous :
[Location]
Gorgeous:
Your side pieces will be quite disappointed with you going out of the way like that for the library chic.
Toji:
No side pieces. Only you. You're more than enough as a centerpiece baby! 🤌
Gorgeous:
Yeah right.
Toji:
So milk, sugar, milk alternative?
Gorgeous:
No sugar and oat milk please.
Toji:
You're warming up to me, aren't you? Be right there, baby girl.
Not thirty minutes later he arrived at her dorm door, coffee and breakfast balanced in one hand, the other braced against the doorframe above his head.
She opened quickly. Eager it seemed.
"Morning, doll. Special delivery, just for you.” Toji raised his offering and angled his face, to study her slightly disheveled appearance.
She looked devastatingly cute with sweatpants and her hair undone.
--------
They entered the sushi place. She looked nice. No surprise there she always did, but knowing she'd dressed up all cute just for their date did get him a little excited.
Seated next to the large fishtank, his eyes followed the path of the small sea creatures, waiting for her as she studied the menu.
"What did you pick?” She asked curiously, her pretty eyes settling on his face. Toji shrugged, trying to act nonchalant. Judging by her expression his poker face wasn't as convincing as he thought.
"You don't even like Sushi, do you?” She raised one of her sharp eyebrows.
"Nah. Not really.” Chuckling he shook his head and folded his hands on the table, watching the reaction manifest on her face in real time.
"Why would you even agree to come here?” She actually sounded exasperated on the verge of upset.
"Because you wanted sushi…. And I kinda thought they might have other stuff, too.”
She looked at him wordlessly for an almost uncomfortably long time until she snapped her menu shut. "I really don't know if you're cute or just an idiot.”
With raised hands he shrugged. “Maybe both?” Chuckling, Toji raised his eyebrows and pouted, to better lit the role.
Her face softened and she smiled. "Come on,” she said, standing up in one smooth motion and waving at him to follow.
Of course he did, but not without question. “Where are we going?”
She shrugged, looking at him over her shoulder. "Somewhere else obviously. What do you want to eat?”
Tojis objection was half hearted at best - it was kind of sexy the way she took charge. "But I'm taking you on a date…”
With an airy laugh she hooked her arm around his elbow. "Take me to a burger joint then. I'm really craving fries right now.”
They waited for their order, between sips on her coke she focused her attention on him, like a spotlight directed in his face or like a lamp at an interrogation.
“So... You really are serious, right?“
"Seems so baby girl.” He sipped from his water, holding her gaze without blinking. "Disappointed?”
"No. Uhm, just not what I was expecting.”
"Oh? What were you expecting?”
"I definitely didn't think you to be the selfless gentleman kinda guy.”
"Oh I can be very selfless… “ With a wink Toji wiggled his brows and bit his lower lip in an obvious hint.
An eye roll shut him down. "Yeah, that seems fitting.” Toji felt her attitude towards him cooling again and he quickly attempted to minimize his losses.
"Okay, fine. I know I have a rep., but that doesn't mean I can't be serious when I meet someone special.” That seemed to catch her attention again, but she kept silent, suddenly very invested in her drink until the food arrived.
"Special huh?” She mumbled, biting a piece off a french fry. Her expression had softened a little as she ate, but not for long and her thoughtfulness was erased by a little frown. "How many have heard that line already?”
Sceptical little bookworm. Good instinct – it only made him more invested.
Toji leaned forward, closing the distance as far as the table allowed and answered in a low voice, his eyes trained on her.
"If I said none, you wouldn't believe me, would you?”
For a moment he waited, let her process what he said then he took a fry from her plate and held it out to her. ”I'll take you on all the dates, gorgeous. All the dates you need to believe me and then some. I’ll bring you coffee whenever you want…”
Her eyes followed every movement.
She hesitated. Pondered and calculated. Eventually she locked eyes with him and carefully bit off half of the fry.
“Will you take me on a ride with your bike?”
Toji popped the other half of the fry in his mouth and licked his fingertips before answering. “Of course, princess.”

Summary: Sukuna is in is first non- toxic relationship
This work was very much inspired by @sixxels (mean!sukuna x shy!gf!reader)
Read the entire work here on AO3
She brought Sukunas buzzing phone into the bathroom, where he was getting ready.
" Someone's is calling you." She informed him, handing him his phone. He looked at the screen and his stomach dropped seeing the name and picture.
It was an old number. A long forgotten hookup.
So irrelevant he hadn't even thought of deleting it - or remembered it even existed.
He declined the call and slipped the phone into his pocket.
She hadn't sounded accusing when she handed him the phone. But neither had the ones before the moment before they had gone bat shit crazy. He braced himself for impact.
"Yeah. What of it?", Sukuna snapped for too harshly, defenses slammed in place.
" Oh? Uhm. Nothing, l just thought you might want to answer it? I don't know?" She looked genuinely confused at his reaction- not angry, not testing. Others would have already screeched at him.
"You're not angry?" His anger fizzled out, almost as quickly as it had overtaken him.
"What? Why? Because you receive calls?" She startled a little and genuinely looked as though she couldn't decide between confusion and amusement.
"Because it was a chic calling. " She angled her face, brows creasing in a ridiculously cute expression of concern. Was she really that safe? It could still be a trap.
" Oh. I didn't really think about that? I assumed it was one of your friends."
" Oh. " The last remnants of tension bled from his posture and he looked at her feeling like an absolute idiot.
Sukuna looked at her in wonder. There was not even a hint of deception in her features, no anger only the confused concern. How was she so different? - It caught him off guard way too many times. Hopefully he'd get used to it - with time - if he didn't fuck it up.
Sukuna slipped into his leather jacket, grabbed his keys and was about to pull on his shoes when he noticed the quiet.
No hurried heels or clinking of jewelry.
He found her in the bedroom and gave her a once over, appraising her appearance. She wore the hoodie he'd discarded, her adorably dorky starwars PJ pants and a pair of thick socks.
She looked ready for an evening on the couch or in bed but definitely not ready to go out.
"Babe, why 're you not ready?" She looked at him, angling her face in confusion.
"You wanted me to come with?" Sukuna was speechless. Not one of his past girlfriends had ever let him go out without at least making a fuss about it if not demanding to come along.
"I assumed you would want to come... I'm meeting up with the guys."
" Yeah that's why I assumed it's a boy's night and you're going alone." Huh. He hardly knew what to say to that. That was the kind of freedom he'd always wanted, wasn't it? Why did it lowkey make him want her to come along?
" Would you like to come?" He looked at her, ridiculously hopeful.
" If you're sure? But I need a few minutes, is that okay?"
"Yeah. No problem." He quickly notified the group chat that they'd be late and busied himself by ridding his phone of old contacts.
Not even twenty minutes later she was ready. Black jeans and crop top. Minimalistic. Cute. Understated. Like a girl that had absolutely nothing to prove and noone to impress.
"Good?" She asked.
" Perfect." He answered truthfully, for the first time actually genuinely excited to introduce a girl to his friends.
