Sneak peak of some of my dnd planning im doing for my cluedo ibspired murder mystery campaign
Any other kinky or poly or trans people out here playing DND?? im just curious 👉👈
Okay dnd players I need an opinion. I’m making a campaign rn and I want to give the party a dog/wolf companion, but I can’t decide which option to make. If it helps, the campaign is really story based, being approximately 10 sessions long if I can swing it. Neither dog can die so this isn’t just about battle practicality. Most of the bosses I have planned for are considered deadly encounters, but I want to give a lot of leeway in how the party solves them (tricks, traps, etc.). So, as a player, which would you prefer:
Option A is a wolf that always crits, but isn’t super bulky in hp/defenses. It can be healed via resting.
Option B is a wolf that is made of metal, so takes less damage and can serve as something of a blockade. It can be healed using mending.
Which dog would you prefer in a campaign?
Dog that does lots of damage, but not a lot of hp
Dog that can tank a lot of damage, but not output much
my players have started to realize that maybe I've been planning something they haven't picked up on.
Really?
Facts for your consideration:
they found vampire spawn in "junk" crates in Henrik van der Voort's attic
they saw Ludmilla, who was described by van der Voort and implied to be behind the crates of vampire spawn
they killed a guy at the behest of Lady Wachter, who they KNOW is favored by Strahd and have known for two and a half months now
I have described crates being brought in and where some of the crates were being stored every session for the last four sessions. They're all over town at this point.
The players don't know the keepers of the feather, but they've seen Muriel and a FUCK TON OF BIRDS (if they haven't connected the blue winged woman to the blue winged raven I swear to Strahd)
Ludmilla was present at dinner with Lady Wachter, has been described as part of her book club, and Lady Wachter was visibly pleased that they killed Izek Strazni the night before the feast of St Andral
IDK. What do you think?
Okay okay okay my dnd planning brain is online. I'm gonna run some 1/2 player dnd runs with the idea of the mystery dungeon Pokémon storyline reskinned!
Nothing is more satisfying than to have a blank notebook and really make it your own. Not having it out of necessity of classwork or for your job but to have it and fill it with your own messy thoughts and plans. To put in your own sticky notes and edits, the only subject being what you want it to be, and you feel like it’s apart of your personality
A very important ally assisting me with making maps for D&D
