concept art for a dnd town named Shanti
DnD/Fantasy lore idea:
A city or country that developed trial by fire (medevil trial system where you grab a red hot iron and were considered guilty if your hand blisters) when they were isolated humans/elves. Then infernals/dragon or some other species that has fire resistance started living there and because they can easily beat the trail by fire they become more respected/higher class in the town.

Another map for a city in the D&D campaign I’ve been running for two and a half years. This one is called Walden, it’s the biggest of the three towns in the valley the campaign takes place in.
Map for one of the villages of the D&D campaign I’ve been running for the past two years.
This is a dwarven village named Alpengloed, an old, industrious town that made a lot of money selling weapons to the warring factions down in the valley and has transformed into a more tourist-y place ever since peace was made. To keep the furnaces of their industry going the residents cut down most of the surrounding forest and now the town has to deal with regular landslides and mine cave-ins.
Might do one of these for the other major settlements of the campaign, it’s pretty fun.
The small town of Valleys End, a quiet place; the only way in or out of a valley that stretches a hundred miles or more. Normally only used for farmland, however, the last 3 sheepherders to have gone down into the valley haven't returned. The only thing found were the remnants of a few dismembered sheep bodies.
Your heroes have been tasked with heading down into the valley to find out where they’ve disappeared to and to hopefully return them home to loved ones.
