Monk Subclass: Way of the Olive Grove
I come from a family of farmers, and I cannot remember a December without getting together with my cousins and uncles to harvest the family olive groves. Even this past year, we were out in the fields, working hard to get that precious olive oil at the end. I wanted to immortalize this niche experience of mine that perhaps some of my Mediterranean neighbors have also seen or lived through themselves.
This monk subclass lets you play into the fantasy of a peaceful farmer that utilizes the tools of their trade to fight. In this case, you master the quarterstaff, which mimics the long poles traditionally used to harvest olives before mechanization simplified the process. This subclass focuses on grounding enemies and supporting allies with the fruits of your labor, using the quarterstaff as your primary weapon in combat.
