this is mostly about bloodymary (big fucking surprise) BUT why is it that most of the stories are all the fucking same. (the same five songs, the radio station it plays the same five songs!!!) most of the fics I've read when I filter by alternate universe are fics in which by some wormhole or strange occurrence, Simon is now on Erid with Grace and they fall in love. listen, I love an Eridborhood AU as much as the next guy, but it's relatively ALL I see. where are the weird fics??? do something crazy, do something different. and yes I know that as an author I am hypocritical in saying that if you have an idea go out and write it yourself, while I don't really do that. if you have a fucked up idea, WRITE IT!!! if you have a regular old modern au, WRITE IT!!! if you want to make those boys kiss, WRITE IT!!! put your words out there and try, it doesn't have to be good, but if you wish there was something for that idea, nobody else is going to make it unless you do. use some of that free will that we as humans have. make that AU and if no one else reads it, you can read it yourself and you know what I WILL READ IT. and that's my promise to you
