“ My, my, my, would you look at that,” there’s a laugh in Rubedo’s voice, if only to hide the outright levacious intents behind his words.
“ Doctor!” His voice, now resounding, even through the glass of the cell was nothing short of joyful. Befitting the softer expression displayed in the grinning mask, not unlike that of a jolly Saint Nick,
“ What a pleasure it is to see you! After all these years and just— look at you,” Rubedo’s arms spread wide, gesturing towards the Doctor’s body, “ Still fit as a spring chicken, and if I may, just as handsome as when I last saw you, ”
Well, now that was a voice the Doctor hadn’t heard in centuries.. but it was one he surely couldn’t forget. The grip on his book tightened as he braved himself to glance over towards the glass separating him from the other. Florence knew that barrier wouldn’t last long, knowing whomst he was dealing with.
“Rubedo.. what in the Ambassador’s name are you even doing here?”
There was a low growl in 049’s voice. A type of hostility that was very out of character for the usually calm and collected Plague Doctor. The only other he’d ever shown this passive aggression two would be 035 themselves.
“If you’re searching for Dyo, you won’t be finding them here. I’m sure you’re aware I broke up with them years ago. Feel free to take the elevator back up.”
