Pocky Day for the main 6:

Alphen x Shionne

Shionne finds out about it and is intent on the idea. Food and kisses? Yes plz

Alphen is embarrassed but intrigued

Shionne buys several packs and forgets she can like. Just eat the pocky. Without the kisses. Alphen almost keels over from sugar overdose trying to keep her happy

Dohalim x Kisara

It's silly but the whimsy of it draws Kisara

Dohalim misses the point and buys sticks of various jerky to try it with

Kisara is Not Impressed

(But she tries it anyway)

At least she came prepared with the right thing

And knowing Do's tastes, she brought a variety of flavors instead of just the common chocolate

Do is partial to banana pocky

Law and Rinwell

Law wants. So badly. To do this with Rinwell

She is Uninterested

(He hasn't even gotten the guts to ask her on a date)

(And now here's the darling idiot with a box of pocky stumbling over his words in a failed attempt to explain the game)

They share the pocky in the courtyard at the Autelina Palace while Rinwell reads a book and Law just enjoys the time together

(He feels ridiculous)

(But he also just likes spending the time together so it's still a win)

She's grateful for the snacks and company and asks to do it again someday

Tales of Arise hit me way harder than I ever could have imagined and I am so incredibly feral for Dohalim content (bonus points for DoKisa content in any form). There's not nearly enough fanfic out there to satisfy me.

Boy, it sure is nice to enjoy the romantic relationships in Tales of Arise without complaining about said game's romance being "too straight", "heteronormative", or "heterosexist" just because the game committed the unforgivably grave sin of not having a queer romance or gay subtext in it.
