Raize is currently at my house for a sleepover and we did an opening video together, unfortunately we didn’t take many standalone pictures and they’re all on Raize’s camera, so I’ll have to wait to post those until later probably. Raize is gonna edit the video tomorrow (there will probably be a blooper reel, but it might be private because I kept saying the wrong name), and hopefully I’ll be able to post it soon!
The deertaur (Resinsoul Spring) who was going to be Mabel has proven to be more haughty than expected. She is a princess and her name is Diana (this was totally in my head because of the Wonder Woman movie, but she’s not Wonder Woman), and she already seems very commanding. So that’s a thing.
Raize’s doll, also named Raize, is a Resinsoul Mei. She’s very happy with her doll, and I’m so glad for her!
So I got the email from Resinsoul this morning, with the tracking number, which I sent to Raize but did not check myself (I have an app called AfterShip which I put it into but I was waiting for it to ping me with an update. Raize messaged back asking if I had looked, and I asked why, and she said it was FREAKING TWO TOWNS AWAY!!! And then I looked and was like OMG and then she asked if she could come over if it arrived today. I said yes, worked that out w/ my mom, and was sitting upstairs with my mom, when we heard a truck noise. I had figured on it taking a while so I wasn’t really paying attention but my mom was like “what if that’s it?” and I was like “WHAT?” and jumped out of the chair and ran downstairs only to peek out the door, but there was no truck. So I went back upstairs and was telling mom it was a false alarm when THE FREAKING DOORBELL RANG! So I ran back downstairs, yelling “WHAT?” again, and there was the postman!!! And he had been around the corner by the garage! And he had heard all my exclamations since the window was open, and saw how excited I was, and was rather amused. and I signed for it, and he said he wondered what it was, but he was walking away so I was busy with the package and didn’t tell him, so I guess he had a nice bit of entertainment/mystery in his day. Then I had to wait 4 hours for Raize to be home from work, and then my mom and I went to get her, and she was really excited, and I was really excited- I know I’ve had dolls arrive before, and the doll I was waiting for wasn’t particularly special (compared to, say, my Grail), but sharing the excitement with Raize was like having my first doll again. So we opened the box, and... for the rest you’ll have to wait for the video(surprisingly, we were mostly composed in the video. I guess we had already gotten our chance to squee over the shipping and yeah). Long post.
