I restyled Meena's hair into five pony tails! This is a look I really love and I decided to try it on her after doing it on myself while practicing drag.

Dressing up my Violet in a Hanfu/Traditional Chinese Costume
Very satisfied with how it looks.
Just the robes
Ribbons and sashes were a bit long but better long than short imo.
I really like the prints.
A couple of close ups
Finally, what the hanfu looks like without the sleeves in the way.

Messing around with some stuff laying around my room and...I was going to boil wash this girl's hair but...the volume is so cute!
what’s the best thing for washing doll hair ? it’s been a long time since ive washed and styled doll hair n im not sure where to go. i used to use bar soap and water which worked pretty well, but is there a better way ? ive heard frantic softeners can be good but idk
OMG Bee restyling
I’ve started ordering doubles of the Wave 1 LOL OMG dolls since they’re available on Amazon now! I don’t normally do doubles, but since the OMGs have such specific hairstyles and I don’t want to ruin or heavily alter any of them, I decided to get an extra of each girl so that I could play stylist and still have a set with their stock hair. I got Bee and Swag first, since I really wanted to style Bee’s hair without sacrificing the amazing stock hairstyle and I want a Swag to seal the ends of her braids with vinyl glue and do some fun hairstyles. First up is Bee (Swag will be here tomorrow lol)
Her face is pretty good, a little flaw on the bottom of her right eye but w/e it’s fine. Her brows are actually straighter and lower than my first one and I think it looks adorable! I took down her buns and separated her hair into four large sections, then sprayed and gently detangled each of them with a water/conditioner mix and a wide-toothed comb- fortunately, her buns unraveled easily and there weren’t any crimps or kinks from the elastics! Then I shampooed her hair, lathered it in conditioner and detangled it yet again (with a finer-toothed comb), then rinsed it with hot water while combing it under the faucet. This is what I got:
Look at those gorgeous curls! The thing I love about nylon is that it has an incredible ‘memory’ and rinsing it with hot water is enough to get the hair into shape, no boiling water or flat ironing needed. Had this been saran, the curls would have been a frizzy disaster. And here it is, towel dried and scrunched upward with the palm of my hand:
I’m truly honestly GAGGED at how well this turned out; no matter how experienced I am with doll hair, I’m still completely surprised when something amazing happens like this lol And back in her bodysuit:
Gorgeous, ugh. The curls grouped together perfectly. No frizz, no weird sections, just glossy perfect curls.
I’m so, so pleased and happy with how this turned out! Now I just need to get another Diva (I’d like to give her pigtails and 90′s Barbie bangs) and MAYBE another Neon (I want to flat iron her hair and give her triangular bangs) but I’m not sure about her yet, I kinda don’t feel like I need a second of her tbh
I mostly buy legit dolls to make it look impeccable. I comission faceups, clothes, wigs, everything. I occassionally buy recast dolls to do my own faceups and make clothes. It looks like shite, so I don't like doing that on legit dolls. If I did that with legit dolls, it would totally look like a recast.

I love taking Halloween-ish photos of my dolls but each year I seem to get my inspiration a little earlier. I've already got some props and ideas ready and I'm itching to go. Too soon?

Mod: I know all the makeup-bloggers film their Halloween videos in September, so you're in good company.
