I didn’t realize till I sat down to write this review that Donatsu’s donuts are all vegan. I could not tell that the donuts were vegan. They had about 16 kinds of donuts and all but the apple fritters were raised donuts. Most were glazed. The donuts are $3.50 each. It seemed expensive but now that I found out the donuts are vegan, it doesn’t seem so bad. Plus, they have some Asian flavors like ube and fun flavors like Oreo and Samoa.

Black sesame: Light, fluffy raised donut, with a thin, sweet black sesame glaze. The donut was not oily or greasy and the nutty black sesame flavor was quite strong (a plus)

Matcha & rose: Strong matcha flavor with dried rose petals, fluffy raised donut. I like how the donuts were only glazed on top. The flavors were strong and natural.

They also offer coffee, boba drinks, and kombucha on tap. It’s a stylish small shop with pretty donuts.
