me: Charlie and Frank’s early on relationship is one of the best examples of male friendship on broadway. It doesn’t fall victim to a fandom over-sexualizing their interactions, especially in Our Time where it would be very easy to do. Even though i am sad that merrily we roll along doesn't get as much recognition as i believe it should, i am extremely grateful Charlie and Frank’s intimacy hasn't been misread as something more romantic than it is. It should be understood that they are good friends, very good ones. They show a mutual intimacy out of pure platonic love for one another and deserve to be recognized as such. NOT, hypersexualized whilst looking for a sign that there is a romantic relationship is in there.
