Secondly, it seems I was just suffering from severe burnout and I feel a lot better about it now. I’m very surprised but I actually had a lovely birthday surrounded by friends and family and I’m feeling very content!

I think Prom would have repeatedly heart breaking Mother’s Days. Not acknowledged as he try’s to hand off a crayon drawing made just for the day. Yeah I agree. Although the anime and novelette didn’t give any indication that his parents were necessarily mean/abusive/neglectful besides just being gone all the time. It would definitely be hard not having parents there. He probably has to deal with his own sense of loss. Not the same as a parent dying, but its own type of hurt. They probably include him in stuff beforehand. Or maybe Ignis invites him to spend part of the day with them.

A King’s Tale is literally daddy Regis telling little Noct a bedtime story about him and his friends (Cid, Clarus and Weskham) when they were younger going on an adventure. I absolutely love it ;A; it’s so pure.
