We’ve all been there. We want to crochet our own headbands but we don’t like the style, thickness, fiber, or weight of the yarn. And that’s not to mention different patterns! In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make a Dancing Clusters Headband in less than an hour for all your style needs. This is an original design by me.
Finished Size:
Fits Head Circumference of 20-22”
Materials:
#3 or #4 yarn (if you’re using DK, work double-stranded treating two skeins as one throughout.)
Crochet Hook Size US I9 / 5.5 mm

Ch 17.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook; *ch 3, CL in next 4 ch; ch 1, sc in next ch; rep from * across, ch 5, turn. (3 CL and 3 ch-sp)
Row 2: Sc in next CL; *Ch 3, CL in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in next CL. End last rep with ch 3, dc in next CL, ch 1, dc in next CL; ch 1, turn. (3 CL and 3 ch-sp)
Row 3: Sk next st, sc in next CL; *ch 3, CL in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in next CL; end last rep with sc in turning ch-loop.(3 CL and 3 ch-sp)
Pattern Notes:
Cluster (CL): YO, draw up a loop in next ch/sp, draw through 2 loops on hook; rep in next 3 ch/sp; YO and draw through 5 loops on hook.
The yarn brand I used was Lion Brand Truboo, a 100% Rayon DK yarn. This yarn is good for sensitive skin and is impossibly soft/stretchy when worked double-stranded!
