We now have September. Marvelous. Just blocking it out now and then we can stitch it into the main blanket and take more photos with all the months.
Finally finished!
For some reason it's incredibly difficult to actually capture the purple color of these?? They're almost a cool stone purple, but with no actual grey in them, despite what these photos may want to tell you.
They're 100% dk wool (not sure what kind; the yarn was leftover from a sweater my mother made me years ago). Seems like it's handspun, even, as it has some minor inconsistencies with thickness & thinness, though that's also a byproduct of tweed.
I normally knit a reinforced heel, and am planning on doing reinforced toes going forward, since I wear out socks (and boots.....) fairly quickly. Hopefully the dk weight of these will help the toe last a bit longer despite not being reinforced or doubled.
But! These are super comfy and soft, and I'm looking forward to wearing them when the weather finally gets cooler.
Knitting socks in dk instead of sock yarn may actually get me to make more socks...
Reference book: DK stands for double knitting, a category three-
My brain every single time, without fail: D-donkey kong?!?!?!?!
Dancing Clusters Headband: Free Crochet Pattern!
We’ve all been there. We want to crochet our own headbands but we don’t like the style, thickness, fiber, or weight of the yarn. And that’s not to mention different patterns! In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make a Dancing Clusters Headband in less than an hour for all your style needs. This is an original design by me.
Deep Space
Deep Space is a beautiful deep dark blue that pairs with many colors within the Outlander Collection.
This color is available on:
Sustainable DK: 100% NON-SW Merino 100g/233m/254yds
Silky DK: 75/25 SW Merino/Mulberry Silk 100g/225m/246yds
All Yarns are hand painted and kettle dyed. This means that every yarn can vary. If you need multiple yarns for a project, it is highly recommended that you purchase them at the same time so that they can come from the same dye lot. Some of the brighter colors can bleed, even though they have been rinsed multiple times, if you notice this run under cold water until water is clear.
Care: Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry
All products are created in a smoke free and pet friendly environment.
All photographs are used as inspiration for the yarn and are not owned by myself and belong to the franchise/character in which they represent. None of the yarns belong to or are affiliated with any of the fandoms, franchises, or characters for which it is inspired from.

Well, Charlie's Smaug is gonna be kinda bright...
Anytime I asked what colours she wanted, she'd list the rainbow (literally, in Welsh, she'd give me the rainbow), so she's gonna have Rainbow!Smaug.
16 hexagons to go...
(The cream is going to be what's green in the pic below, and the slate grey is going to be what's red... So literally all the colour is coming from the flower middles. XD)
