So we had a big ice storm roll in, weather emergency level, so we naturally closed down the store yesterday. But now that the precipitation is over corporate is trying to open us up again which is adorable.

It’s great you’re plowing the parking lot but that doesn’t magically make the rest of the surrounding ice go away. Bc it’s not snow, it’s ice. Solid fucking ice. With no melt whatsoever. I can’t brush off my car, I’d have to chisel it out. And even if I did none of the roads close to me have been plowed, salted, or sanded. It’s fucking suicide.

On my right I could go down a notoriously dangerous curved hill (it ain’t no thang for me bc I’ve lived here all my life but with ice? Fuck that) to either get to the death trap of a highway where all my turn offs are sharp or go straight, through a round about, onto an equally crazy main road.

On my left I could turn onto that same crazy ass main road or go my usual route which is all turns and another round about.

So the consensus amongst my coworkers and I is that they can open all they want they just won’t have any staff bc we’re not risking our lives to get there.

And I live close by! Most my coworkers commute like an hour! If I can’t get out of my neighborhood their customers can’t get out either.

Double Threat, December 2023

A few months ago I was tidying up the notes in my phone and I found one from Aug 14th, 2022 simply stating "Gentlebeard in Reylo's thigh grab pose". I don't remember when I got the idea (probably while sleeping) but it was good enough for me to sketch it. I am still pretty bad on a digital canvas, so I sketched Rey and Ben's thigh grab on paper, then moved on my iPad to transform them into Stede and Ed. I'm not convinced I like them, but they're still my art babies, so I'll love them just the way they are.
