Okay, but this double XP event is amazing.
I have now seen multiple pieces of wonderful fanart featuring Crowley and Aziraphale as a Sith and a Jedi respectively and it blows my mind a bit every time because I’m such a sucker for that particular scenario and I dive back into Star Wars: The Old Republic every two or three months, and it’s beautiful, and I can’t believe I never?? thought about this before???.
So anyway, for your consideration: While show!Crowley is a Sith who gets extravagant and shouty and makes up nonsense to please his masters, book!Crowley is absolutely an Imperial Agent, presenting different faces to different people, never sure what gets back to his masters and what doesn’t, always looking over his shoulder, waiting for some mad sith lord to notice him and try to strike him down.
show!Aziraphale is a Jedi Guardian with a flaming sword who’s been guarding the same bit of Jedi ruins and texts for ages now and trusts the Senate’s use of the Order (right up until he doesn’t), and book!Aziraphale is a Jedi Consular who hoards datacrons, makes entirely too much use of jedi mind tricks, and doesn’t really care what the Senate is doing up until war’s about to break out and there’s a blockade between his private library and his favorite cantina on another planet.
A SW I made for the double xp event...His name is Caidyn Fel and he didn’t want to be sith but...when he confronted his father about this...let’s just say that’s where his cybernetics came from...
He’s still a good person but sometimes makes some questionable choices out of fear or duty.
I spent Double XP Event leveling some alts so I could get the species legacy unlocks. In the process I’ve gotten super attached.
So I had to share.
(note: I love creating dumb names for my characters)
Spikes-girl: Zabrak Smuggler/Gunslinger - Former Republic Fighter Pilot turned smuggler/mercenary. Possibly a Daggerwing vet who avoided imprisonment on Belsavis.
Dankheart: Rattataki Inquisitor/Sorcerer - Token evil character. Old School Sith. Absolutely Batshit.
BigBlues: Chiss Bounty Hunter/Powertech - Very Big, much mysterious. A Professional. Cold exterior but he’s got a soft spot for Mako.
Zen Warya: Twi’lek Jedi Knight/Sentinel - Born in Kalikori Village, given to the Jedi for training. Passionate and slightly rebellious but ultimately a Very Good Jedi.
Did they change their minds about the 2XP event? I downloaded the patch and logged in to check before resubbing (was actually getting a little excited that it was for a full month,) and it doesn’t show up?
This has been a very productive event for me: Over 269k XP gain, and 19 new species added to my pokedex!
So, the last double XP buff just faded. Conclusion: 18 levels gained for Meirami (and a couple for Davius, too) during the event. At least I got those skill points I was after… :D
the final Double XP Event will be 72 hours long starting on March 15th. The total for every round will be doubled at the end of the round on all ranked servers (not limited to the End Game DLC). Start times for the event are provided by DICE as follows: “Los Angeles 02:00, Stockholm 10:00, and Tokyo 18:00.”
