A few years ago, I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite multi-science fiction franchise artists, and I didn't waste it.
The great Doug Drexler is an Emmy Award and Academy Award-winning artist with an astonishingly diverse background in Creative Consulting, SFX Makeup, Illustration, Scenic Art, Set Design, and Visual Effects. He's worked on the faces of iconic celebrities, built dazzling sets for major productions, and designed ships for several legendary sci-fi series. He's a creative force of nature whose career, which began in the 1970s, is still going strong today, recently as a designer for The Orville under Seth MacFarlane and now, he's working on his Ted series.
