'Is she not coming to work?'
"Hey, Scott!" Christian called his friend when he saw him walked past his door from the hall.
Scott walked and stop to peek at Christian's studio.
"What's up?" he asked while still looking at his phone.
"How's the photoshoot yesterday?" Christian asked about the shoot scheduled for Live and you are one of the editors.
"It went according to our theme. But it lasted longer than expected because it suddenly snowed a little during the shoot." Scott explained. "Why?" he managed to look away from his phone screen and look at Christian.
"Oh, so, what time did you guys finish?" Christian asked not answering Scott's question.
"Maybe around 3 am," Scott answered. He decided to sit on the sofa inside Christian's studio - thinking that this might take a while. He knew Christian and asking questions without answering his - only means that somethings going on.
"I see. So I guess most of the crew will not be coming today since you guys finished late." Christian said while taking a spin at his chair.
"Not really. I think they'll be here doing the edit and all." Scott said still looking at Christian.
Christian tried to avoid Scott's gaze.
"Really? So maybe I can take a look at the scene later with Y/N." Christian said and turn his back from Scott to face his monitor.
'Smooth.' Scott thought and can't help but smirked at his friend's childish game. He's avoiding directly asking about Y/N because of the drunk accident happening before.

3 weeks ago, the crew decided to go out for a dinner then drink after to celebrate Christian's debut. But just as everyone getting ready to go home. You're so wasted that you confessed to Christian without minding the few people remaining outside the pub.
All were shocked because they didn't expect you to confess at all. All of them have an idea that you have feelings for Christian for years - but Christian's so dense and treat you as a little sister at that time. He did not expect it and he was so dumbfounded that he laughed it out and saying that he only sees you as his lil'sister.
"Thank you, Y/N - but you're my little sister that I never had. I'm sorry." Christian said as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Yes, you were drunk at that time. And you wished you forgot everything that had happened to that point. But it was impossible. Now you know that it was all a lie when people said they forget everything that happened to them when they're wasted. LIES!
But even if you remembered everything - you acted that you forgot about it. It was not like you, but being rejected face to face - it fvcking hurts!
You can't afford to lose your dream job just because of your drunken mistake.
You acted that everything is good between you and Christian - but it is noticeable that you're putting a distance between the two of you.

"I think you can check the raw ones with her assistant later." Scott get up from the sofa and was about to leave.
"Huh? Why her assistant? Where's Y/N?"
"She's taking a rest for the day. I think she catches a cold during the shoot. I'm planning to check on her later. We know how she can be when it snows. You're welcome to join me if you want." Scott dropped a teasing tone towards Christian.
"Ah. Okay. Just call me when you're going." Christian said not noticing Scott's teasing.
----
Christian can't focus on his work. He keeps ending up thinking about you.
He looked at his phone - checking if Scott text him about going to your place but he sighed when he sees nothing.
He can already admit that this is not like him at all. He told you that he only sees you as a friend - he even regards you as his little sister. But something inside him disagree.
'Do I like-love her?' Christian questioned himself. But it was cut-off when his phone rang.
It was from Scott.
"Hey. Wait a sec - I'll just save my files." Christian said right after answering.
"About that, I can't go to Y/N right now. Mr. Ahn called and requesting a meeting with Dabin." Scott said.
"Did you call Y/N?" Christian asked.
"Not yet. I tried calling to see if she's alright but she's not answering. Maybe she's just sleeping. We can visit her later - after work."
"No. I can check her now since I already shut down my PC." Christian said as he walked out from his studio.
Scott smirked because he knew well that Christian never shutdown his PC at his studio.
"Okay. Call me when you get there." Scott ended the call.
---
You were dreaming about someone was knocking at your door and keep pressing the doorbell. The doorbell gets louder every time that it woke you up.
Then you realized that it was not a dream but someone really is knocking at your door.
'Maybe it's Scott. He did mention that he will drop by'. You thought as you tried your best to get up.
You opened the door.
"Are you planning on breaking my door Sco-C-Christian! How..?" you can feel your face burning up.
"I came instead of Scott," he said avoiding your eyes.
"I see," you said. Both of you just standing there between the door. 'Okay, this is awkward'.
"Are you okay...?" Christian asked and managed to meet your eyes.
It's hard for you to stop the cough because your throat is just itching.
"I'm okay now, so you don't have to..." you looked down. Not really wanting for Christian to see you at this state. But suddenly your vision got dizzy and that made you lean forward.
Christian caught you.
"You're not okay at all." He said.
You can't tell if he's mad or worried. He guided you to your bed. And you keep coughing all the time. You want to stop so he can't see but it's really not that easy.
'I'm here now, but I don't know what to do for her. I can feel that Y/N doesn't like me here, I'm sure this situation is stressful for her'. Christian thought. 'I guess I need to try and help her feel better...'
"Did you already eat something?" Christian asked you while you're fixing the pillow at your back to sit properly.
"No," you said.
"Good thing I brought rice porridge. Eat this, then take the medicine." He said while taking out the porridge from the paper bag he had.
"I'm fine." you insisted. You just want him to leave and you can sleep. But for some god's play - your tummy decided to protest.
"Just eat." Christian tried his best to not laugh. He handed you the container for the porridge.
"Okay..." you said helplessly.
---
"Thank you for the porridge..." you said as Christian took the container from your hand.
"Now take the medicine, and go to the hospital tomorrow for an IV drip." He said as he hands you a glass of water.
"A-*cough* cold like this will be over once I slept on it. I don't have to go." you took meds and the glass of water.
"You're not going to go? When you're this sick?" Now he really sounded worried.
"I'm really all right, Christian... You can go now..." you insist as you tried to put the glass on your side table but he stops you and leans forward to get the glass from your hand. And put his hand at your forehead. You automatically closed your eyes when you felt the warmth from his hand.
"No way. At your condition right now..." Christian said. "You're burning up..." he was shocked because he was not expecting you to be this sick.
"I'm fine..." you opened your eyes. Then there you realize how you and Christian's face is so close. You can't help but blush.
Christian realizes the situation and immediately put away his hand from your forehead. "J-just go to the hospital. Darn it!"
You can't help but smile a little. You find him cute.
Christian stands up. "Try to lie back down. I'll go get a wet towel for you."
"Okay..." you said. You guess that it's no use arguing with him. As you lie down. You can't help close your eyes as you tremble. "Ugh... it's cold..."
"You're cold?" Christian saw you.
You opened your eyes and he was standing at the end of your bed. You got up.
"Just a little... I just need to put more clothes on." You said as you tried to get off the bed and walk to your closet.
"No." Christian stopped you from getting up. "You have to bring your fever down. All you need is to change into a T-shirt and shorts instead. Wait. I'll get that for you."
"Huh? W-what?"
Christian walked towards your closet and as if he owns it, he easily finds your clothes and throws it at you.
"I'm turning the light out." and he did turn off the lights.
You have no choice but change. You felt that your clothes already wet from your sweat. When you finished changing, Christian sit beside your bed and gently put the wet towel on your forehead.
"Ian, you should really go now..." you said in between your coughs.
'How can I go when you're like this?' Christian thought as he looked at you.
You felt him get up. You closed your eyes. 'Finally, he's leaving.' you thought.
Christian sighed.
"Move over a bit." you heard him.
You opened your eyes not really understood what he said. But the next thing you know that Christian slip his body beside you - in the bed. Your body automatically moved from the side to give him space.
Now Christian is hugging you from the back. If the two of you are dating - then this might be normal - cuddling you as you're feeling cold. But the two of you are way far from dating!
'Shit! What is he doing! What is he thinking?! I don't know if this will help me or it will make it worse.' You can't help but worry. You need to calm down because you're not sure if Christian can feel how your heartbeat is running wild.
"You'll be less cold like this," Christian said. Every word he said, you can feel the warmth of his breath from the side of your ear.
"C-Chris-tian... you don't really have to-"
"Just stay still. I'll leave once you fall asleep." Christian said firmly. "You'll be asleep soon since you took the medicine."
'How in God's way can I be still in this situation?! God-someone please save me!'
"Y/N. Close your eyes and go to sleep," Christian said.
You closed your eyes. But really not know how you can fall asleep with the fact that you can feel his body heat.
You don't know if it's the fever or because of him, but you feel dizzy and your mind is a mess.
But one thing is clear.
Your heart is beating so fast and the warmth from Christian's arms that you don't feel cold anymore.
You tried to close off your heart - as best as you could. But Christian's warmth is slowly melting down the walls you barely created.
"Christian Yu... why are you doing all this for me? It's like... as if you love me... How can I push you away if you're going to be like this?" you froze when you realized that you voice out your thoughts.
Christian's arms around your waist tighten.
"You're right," Christian said as he leans closer that you can feel his breath from your right ear. "I do love you and I was a fool when I denied that fact - something that obvious. I know for a long time that I treated you differently from anyone else. I'm sorry if I pretend and fight what I was feeling just because I don't want to admit that what I said before was wrong."
You tried to move to face him but Christian stopped you and buried his head between your neck. He also holds your hand and tightens his embrace.
"Please. Let me hold you like this as you fall asleep. I promise I will leave as soon as your temperature goes down."
You said nothing and just pulled him closer to you.
'I think this is a good reason to love the snow season.' You slept smiling while at Christian's embrace.

Chapter Five // Chapter Seven (CS)
A plan formed between the four men. Christian was to go to you, see you at your favorite restaurant and apologize for everything. It was an easy plan that guaranteed the two of you to talk again. But when Christian bought the tickets and packed his things, you let Scott know that you moved cities. So, it was back to square one.
Couple weeks later, Christian finally realized that you unblocked him on social media.
Christian had woken up to get a drink, phone in his pocket as he sat on the counter, glass cup in hand as he closed his eyes. He was still full of sleep, swaying as sleep tried to take his body away. The vibration from his pocket made him wake up a bit, finishing his drink and hopping off the counter. As he set the cup in the sink, pulling his phone out, Christian woke up, phone almost falling out of his hand.
He waited as the post loaded, trying to blink the sleep away before settling on rubbing his eyes. Finally looking at the loaded post, Christian smiled
ynissamood: I know you guys are excited for the series to be released but I promise that once the project is released and I get the okay, you guys get to enjoy this! Miss you goofballs~ xoxo
The photo was one where you were sitting on a table, Scott directly behind you as he grinned into the camera. Gyungmo had his bucket hat over his eyes and gave a hand gesture as John gave a peace sign next to him, and Cline, as always, looked at the camera with all seriousness. Christian was on your other side, sitting right next to you with his arms crossed as he gave the camera a smile.
Christian started with a simple hello, thinking twice before erasing it and trying again. He stared at his screen, tilting his head as he thought of what was the appropriate ice breaker. As he continued to beat himself up, Christian gave up and wrote what he thought was best and pressed sent.
You looked over at the ping from your phone, seeing an Instagram notification. You barely paid attention as you unlocked your phone, eyes focused on the TV screen in front of you, the movie that was on was too good. But you finally focused on your phone and felt shocked at the message.
You blocked Christian after everything happened between you both, knowing fully well that he wanted nothing to do with you. So of course, it seemed out of the blue that he messaged you with a simple hey, one that you clearly had no way on figuring out what it could mean.
You hesitated on answering, not knowing exactly what to say so you instead opted for a more simple and easier solution: exiting the app and ignoring him.
Christian couldn't sleep for the rest of the night, tossing and turning as he thought about checking his phone. He didn't want to seem too eager, trying his best to make time pass by so he can check the message later but the ticking of the wall clock only made his curiosity grow. Finally, with a snatch, Christian took the phone, seeing no notification and he figured you were busy.
"So instead of thinking that she ignored you, you thought she was busy?"
Gyungmo looked at the simple message that Christian sent, showing in fact that you left him on read. Scott's laughter made Christian look away, trying to hide his embarrassment. "You're too whipped," Gyungmo chuckled, Christian taking his phone back.
"Leave me the hell alone, okay? A guy could hope," Christian rolled his eyes, going back to his laptop and going back to work.
The new album and the music video were done. The release date was set and all that was left was for the gang to post it. And, once again, Christian sent you another message.
You shared the post from the DPR page on your Instagram story, accompanied by the eyes emoji and the clapping hands. You felt bad leave Christian on read the first time, not liking it one bit but you worried that he wanted to start trouble again. So you ignored his second message, only saying hello.
Christian sat on his couch, laptop in front of him and music playing when his phone lit up, showing that you were live.
You laid on your bed, phone resting against your pillows as you laughed at a comment Christian seemed to miss, but he couldn't take his eyes off you. You had cut your hair, and freshly dyed it to a dark blue color, complimenting you very well.
"Yeah, I decided it was time for a new change," You gently touched your hair, eyes skimming the comments. "I bought myself new clothes, but then I decided to just take it a step further and changed my hair."
Christian saw a comment from Gyungmo pop up making you smile.
dprcream: new hair? let's match
"Dye your hair blue so I know what we have it real," You giggled, moving your arm to rest your head on it. You continued to read the comments, smiling at some and answering them. Christian bit his lip, getting nervous as he got an idea and began to type sending his message.
dprian: Nice hair!
dprian: Lori misses you. She says hi
You stayed quiet, Christian beginning to think you ignored him before you let out a smile, humming softly. "Tell Lori I miss her much more. I wanna see her again,"
Christian felt his heart flutter, finally getting a response from you and trying his luck again.
dprian: Come over soon, it's not the same in the building without you
You read the message, your lips curving up into a smile at the comment. Maybe it was for show, hiding the fact that an argument between the two of you happened and for you, it was okay. After all, the fans didn't need to get involved. "I'll try to go soon, but if you guys find yourselves around my parts, let me know."
You answered people's questions and talked about upcoming projects before bidding everyone a good night, blowing kisses right as the live shut off. Christian set his phone down, thinking about the live when his phone pinged, making him look at it. He was surprised to see your name on the Instagram notification, going into the messages to see what you had sent.
ynissamood: Listen, you probably did that as a way for people not to suspect what happened between us and that's okay, but please stop sending me messages. I unblocked you so people wouldn't get the wrong idea. I'm sorry for what happened between us, but this is your fault too.
Christian read the message over and over again before he let out a breath, not able to believe what he read. He knew this was his fault too, and he was trying to fix it but it seemed you didn't want that. And, to be frank, Christian had no one to blame but himself.
"Damn, your fucked up big time," Scott shook his head, giving Christian his phone back.
"So what do I do?" Christian asked, dropping the phone on the table in front of him. "How do I apologize for being an absolute asshole?"
"I mean, by doing it ," Scott shrugged, crossing his arms. "Tell her you're sorry and you want to start over."
Christian knew it was his fault too, and if he had to be honest, he knew that it was only his fault. After all, he couldn't blame you for how you felt, this was all on him. And he wanted to fix it as soon as he could. He wanted to go back to the way you both were, comfortable around each other, laughing and enjoying the company like no one's business. But, he had to cross this bridge in order to get there.
Christian stared at his phone that night, biting his lip and messing around with his hair before going into the messages and sending one over.
dprian: Listen, I'm sorry too. I know what I did was out of line but I want to start over. Can we talk? Like over the phone?
It had been over three days since the message was sent and you haven't even opened the message. It wasn't like you weren't online, because you were, but you just didn't open the message. So, Christian decided that he would let you be for a bit before he tried again.
A couple more days passed, the gang finishing the last bit of touches for the release when Gyungmo noticed the notification of a new video from you. He knew Scott had to have been watching it by now so Gyungmo went off to watch the video.
Scott sat on his chair, watching as you messed with a bag, sighing.
"I don't know how to explain it but it's just... an ugly feeling. Like when you're trying your best to draw something but it doesn't come out like you want it to... kind of like that," You played with the drawstring on the bag a bit more, biting your lip before the video cut.
It was a brief moment of you looking out the window, shutting it quickly and yelping when the delivery man spotted you. "I hope he's not judging me... I ordered like 5 large fries..."
"I think I'm gonna take a break from social media for a bit..." The video cut right back to you, sitting at the end of your bed. Legs now crossed as you gave the camera a soft smile. "I'll still post the series and give you guys a heads up but that's about it for me. I just want to take a breather," With one final wave and with a kiss, the video went black.
You smiled at the text from Scott that came in, giving him a call and hearing it ring before his voice was heard. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"
You giggle a bit, taking a seat on your bed. "I'm okay, I just need a break from social media, don't worry much about me."
"Hey, have you heard from y/n?" Gyungmo walked into Scott's studio, Scott flinching a bit from being startled. You laughed as you heard the two argue, Scott trying to explain to him that you were fine while Gyungmo tried to take the phone.
"Do you need me to go over? I'll go right now," Gyungmo laughed as he heard your laughter.
He was about to grab the phone when Scott yanked it away, laughing. You laid on your bed, feeling better when another voice caught your attention. You could hear Christian ask what was going on, Scott answering.
"Hey, we'll call you back, okay?" You knew Gyungmo was doing this for you, knowing that you didn't want to talk to Christian but you let out a breath.
You had to face him one day, and this seemed like a better time, even though you preferred much later. So, as you sat up in bed, you took in a breath, shaking your head. "Lemme talk to him, please?"
"You sure?" Gyungmo turned to Christian who gave him a curious look, Gyungmo hearing you assure him. With some hesitation, Gyungmo handed the phone over to Christian, who stared at it for a bit before taking it.
"Hello?"
You stayed quiet for a bit, biting your tongue before gulping your nerves. "Hey, it's me,"
Christian froze at your voice, looking at Gyungmo and Scott who watched him. Christian hummed, walking out of the room and heading to his studio, and closing the door behind him, locking it in case that Scott or Gyungmo tried to go after him. "Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah, I just need a break from social media... It's getting to be too much," You played with the end of you hair, letting your hand fall to your bed. "How have you been?"
"You know, working and all that," Christian sat on his chair, listening to a bit of rustling on your side.
It was quiet between the two of you, and awkward silence filing you the air. "I'm sorry for being an asshole, I was just mad at you,"
"No, it's okay... I didn't know you had a girlfriend and honestly I was an asshole about it too since I was so hurt about it..." You confessed, hands gripping your shirt.
"Chaeyoung isn't my girlfriend, well, she was never my girlfriend." Your eyebrows furrowed, staying quiet to hear him correctly. "I mean- yeah I dated her, but really it was only for the fact that I wanted to make you jealous. I thought you and Scott were dating." Christian's voice got low, letting you process his confession.
"Wait, you thought that Scott and I...?"
"Yeah, so..." Christian sighed, letting his head fall to his free hand. "I knew Chaeyoung liked me and I used her to get back at you. I figured that eventually I'd forget about you and return the feelings for Chaeyoung but I never did." Christian could hear your breathing, but other than that, it was nothing but silence. "Listen, I'm sorry and I know I was an asshole about it..." Christian trailed off, hearing you giggle before your laughter.
"Wow... and here I thought you were mad at me for kissing you when you had a girlfriend... you really are an asshole,"
Christian let out a breath, laughing along and shaking his head, feeling the weight of anxiety leave him. "I'm so sorry,"
"It's fine, but please tell me Chaeyoung knows and you're still not leading her on or I'll kick you ass,"
"No, she knows. She broke up with me that day in the studio," Christian laughed, his hand moving from covering his face to holding his chin. "I really like you, I still do,"
Your laughter died down, butterflies in your stomach erupting as you whined into the phone. "Don't start acting cute just because we confessed to each other, I'm still mad at you and I'm still going to ignore you,"
Christian couldn't help the laugh that came up and nodded, leaning back into his chair. "Fine, fine... I have to go but I'll text you later?"
You rolled your eyes, shaking your head but smiling. "You better,"
With much anticipation, the album was released and all that was left was your project. You logged into Instagram and quickly uploaded a clip of the first part.
The video was just a black screen, a bit of rustling before you spoke. "So, what inspires you?" There was more rustling and mindless piano playing before Gyungmo began talking.
"Inspiration comes from everywhere,"
The video was posted with the caption of a date, fans immediately excited and you logged back out of Instagram, going back to your task of cooking. You heard the ping of your phone and you finished chopping the vegetables before checking it.
Ian 12:31 PM: You tease
Ian 12:31 PM: Of course you would post a black screen with just audio
You laughed at the text, hitting the call button and waiting as the call rang, placing it on speaker. Hearing Christian answer, a quick hello filling the kitchen.
“You busy?”
“For you? Never.” Christian leaned back into his chair, ignoring his task of editing his new project and focusing fully on you.
You began cooking the vegetables for the food, bringing the phone closer. “I need to talk to you about the upcoming part of the video, the last time we talked about it you were a bit of an-“
“Yeah I know,” Christian laughed, cutting you off. “I trust you, plus you made plenty of notes on what to hide and all that.” You smiled, butterflies appearing at how Christian remembered how you made notes for every piece of video you recorded.
“You sure? I can send it when I finish so you can look over it.”
“No, I trust you.”
The conversation continued as you cooked and Christian clicked around his computer. You pouted when he didn’t tell you about his project, dramatically sighing and complaining before laughing as Christian mocked you.
"Just know that it's something I haven't done in a real long time." Christian laughed at your groan, knowing you were never going to guess about him recording his own song.
“Hey, can I say something?" You set your plate down on the kitchen table, transferring the bit of leftovers to a bowl which you knew it was bound to get eaten when your friend arrived.
"Sure," Christian had picked up his task during the call, only clicking around, doing small things that didn't need his full attention. But he stopped working on his project, waiting for you as you continued. He heard the bit of shuffling on your end, knowing fully well that you were hesitating on saying something.
"I'm sorry, about everything. I'm sorry I treated you and Chaeyoung so bad, and I know that you're going to say that it wasn't my fault but I shouldn't have done that to her. She's a nice girl and I feel really bad. But it hurt really bad and I didn't know how to deal with that pain."
Christian was at a lost for words, his brain running a mile minute as he processed your words. He knew how nice you were, but it never occurred to him how you must have felt being so cold toward him and Chaeyoung. And yeah, it wasn't intentional, but still, he knew you must have felt so bad.
"Christian-"
"God I love you,"
It took Christian exactly six seconds to fully understand what had just happened. You were frozen in place, the confession being so sudden and almost uncalled for.
"Oh shit, shit, wait. Please I didn't- I mean I did but... fuck I'm so sorry-"
With a click, the line was cut, and like that, Christian's panicked. He called you again and again, the line ringing until voicemail was hit. Finally, on the fifth call, there was no ringing, voicemail answered right away.
With desperation, Christian rushed out of his studio and into Scott's. With no sign of anyone, Christian rushed downstairs only to crash into Cline.
"What are you doing?" Cline practically screamed as Christian began to pat him down. Cline tried backing away until Christian pinned him down, taking Cline's phone out of his pocket.
"Unlock it! Hurry up!" Cline, now scared, took the phone back and unlocked it with shaky hands. Christian yanked the phone out of Cline's hands, searching up your name and calling you.
The phone rang a few times before it stopped mid-ring. "Cline, can I call you back?"
"Please, listen to me-"
"Christian, just... I need to think,"
You were shocked, confused but definitely not expecting that. I mean, yeah, you expected that, but not this soon. You wanted time to think and time to build what you had with Christian.
So there you stood, staring at the kitchen counter as Christian's words bouncing around in your head. When you snapped back, you looked at your phone, seeing missed calls from Christian. Your phone froze for a second when Cline's call came in, making you sigh.
At the sound of Christian's voice though, your eyes widened.
"Please, just..." Christian was lost for words, the silence on your end making his mind run fast with endless amounts of scenarios on how wrong this was all going. “I’m sorry, I know we’re starting over but-”
"Ian..." The sound of the name you called him made Christian stop talking, freezing to hear you say it again. "It's fine. It was sudden but... This is moving too fast. Just... let me breathe."
And with a final click, the dial tone replaced your voice.
It was a hectic day when she finally had arrived home after struggling at the office to finish up her pile of works. She was glad to be back home, as she entered her house, there was a faint smell of tomato. She thought; must be her love who was cooking for dinner since he had finished his work earlier than her on that day. And she was right, her husband was cooking some pasta for dinner. While waiting for the dinner, she went to take a shower. As she was finished, the dinner was ready to be eaten. While she was eating, her phone rang, signaling a call from someone.
‘stupid ian’ was displayed on her phone.
“What now, Ian?” answered her in annoyance.
“Oh wow, no hello sissy?” teased him.
“I am eating my dinner Ian, what do you want? Love counseling again?”
“Nope, it’s I-I need you to analyze my girlfriend,” said Christian in a serious tone.
“What the fuck Ian? Why do I have to analyze your freaking girlfriend?” asked her, unbelievably.
“Well…. because you are a woman.”
“Am I the only woman in your life Ian? Oh my god, you are so weird.”
“It’s… You see, I think you are good at this kind of thing,”
“And why do you want me to analyze your girlfriend, Mr. Ian?”
“You see pump, I know it might sound like I am a freaking asshole and jerk since I don’t trust her that much, it is not like I don’t trust her but you know I think she is not sincere with me. I feel like she likes me not because of who I am but because of my money. And you know, we just met so if she is really like what I think then I am going to end it. So, what you say pump?”
“How much will you pay me?” asked her.
“H-huh?”
“Bitch, do you think I would do this for free?” cursed her.
“How much do you want?” asked Christian.
“I don’t know mister. You name it,”
“How about latte for a week?” suggested him.
“Okay deal,” agreed her.
“I will pick you up tomorrow at 9,” said Ian.
Just like that, they ended the call.
“Ian?” asked Bobby.
“Yeah, god I swear he is so weird,” complained her.
“Why? What did he ask this time?” asked Bobby, amused with her annoyance.
“Don’t you hear it Jiwon?” asked her.
“Sorry baby, I was too engrossed with my phone just now.”
“Ian asked me to analyze his girlfriend, he is weird right?” asked her while finishing her food.
“I don’t think so. I think he is amazing,” replied Bobby.
“What the heck Jiwon? Seriously? God, no wonder two of you are close,” said her in disbelief.
She woke up from her deep sleep as she felt some movement on the bed. She was a light sleeper, sometimes yes but sometimes not. She decided to dive in the dreamland again but she sighed when she remembered that she had to go out to do some analyzing on Ian’s girlfriend.
“Baby, wake up!” screamed Bobby while shaking her body.
She woke up as soon as Bobby shook her body. She was so lazy since it was weekend for goodness sake, she was supposed to spend her time at her precious home! But here she was, in front of the dressing table, getting ready to go out with Christian Yu.
Her phone rang, notifying her that someone was calling her and it was none other than Christian. As soon as she hung up the phone, she went to Bobby and gave him a peck to say goodbye. She was looking forward to meeting Christian’s girlfriend since she had not met her yet, only saw her pictures on Christian’s phone. Moments later, a black car could be seen, she then made her way to the car and sat at the back since his girlfriend was at the front.
“Hello, nice to meet you, you are Hyejin right?” asked her, with a wide smile on her face.
“Yeah, I am Hyejin,” replied her nonchalantly.
“Ian, where are we going? Oh by the way Hyejin, I am sorry for third-wheeling, it is not like I wanted to but it is my last day here and I really want to meet Ian so he lets me join, do you mind?” asked her, plotting something inside her mind.
“Babe, you did not tell me that we are going out with her, I thought we are only going to drop her off somewhere,” said Hyejin in a pitiful tone.
Luckily, she had texted Ian yesterday night to not tell the details of her participation to his girlfriend, or else she would not be able to make up things.
“I am sorry, it was too sudden and it is her last day here, and we are going to a mall,” answered Christian in a cool way.
As three of them arrived at the mall, they were quite shocked since there was a myriad of peoples, of course, after all, it was weekend, what did you expect since it was the weekend. Christian was walking with his girlfriend, while her on the other hand, was walking behind both of them.
“Baby, let’s go and buy some clothes. I need new clothes,” said Hyejin while pouting, more like making a duck face.
She, on the other hand, was very glad because Christian had decided to ask her to analyze his girlfriend, she did not mind sacrificing her weekend if it involved Christian’s happiness. Christian was like her own brother, she could not bear to see a woman takes any advantage of him. She could see that this woman was not sincere but had something up her sleeve, indeed. Hyejin was beautiful, she had to admit that, but her aura seemed off, she was not sure but her guts told her so. After all, woman’s instinct was always right. She was walking behind two of them while coming up with another plan to expose her real intention. After moments of walking, they finally arrived in the clothes section.
“Since we are here, I need some sweatshirt for myself,” said her to Christian.
“Sure, let me come with you.”
“Nah, just go and assist your girl, Mister. By the way, I can see what you mean, it is actually, kind of obvious I might say?” she told him while looking at his eyes, wanting to see how he reacted.
“I am glad I am not wrong since you can see it too. I don’t even know where she is, later when it is time to pay she will eventually show up, let me just go with you,”
She was taken aback when Hyejin suddenly popped out of nowhere, Christian was right, and heck, there were lots of clothes, was she trying to buy the whole store or what? It was confirmed that this girl named Hyejin was not sincere with Christian. ‘Just wait and see you bitch,’ monologued her while stabbing the damn girl inside her mind.
“Hey are you done with your shirt?” asked Christian while taking out his card.
“Yes, why-,” she was not able to finish her words when Christian suddenly grabbed her sweatshirts from her hand.
“Ian, I can pay it by myself, I bought four of sweatshirts,”
“Shut the fuck up and be a good girl,” demanded him while patting her head.
She could not believe her own eyes, what the heck was Christian thinking? The damn girl bought like ten or maybe more pieces of clothes and he just paid it off like that, oh god this man.
“The fuck are you thinking Ian?” whispered her on Ian’s ear.
“It’s okay, just consider that as her last gift from me,” said Ian.
“That’s my boy bitch” shouted her.
They decided to have their lunch before going back home, it was like 2 PM already yet they had not eaten their lunch, so sad and pitiful. As they were eating their lunch at some hot pot restaurant, yummy, she suddenly cracked the quietness between three of them.
“Happy Birthday Ian!”
Ian looked at her with ‘what the fuck’ look but decided to play along.
“Yes! Oh God Hyejin, you don’t know?” she could see Hyejin was searching up something on her phone. “Ian’s birthday is actually today, the real one, the one on the internet is not the real one.” she finished off while smirking secretly. Poor girl, it was so obvious that Hyejin did not like Christian, because if she did, then she would remember his birthday but seeing how the girl searched it up confirmed her instinct.
“Oh really? How did you know that?” asked Hyejin with a glare.
“Well you see, I am actually his girlfriend-“
“WHAT-”
“Ex-girlfriend, I mean.”
“Baby, you are friends with your ex?” asked Hyejin in disbelief.
“Do you want to know Miss the reason I broke up with him?” asked her before Christian could answer while eyeing him to shut his mouth and just play along with her act.
“Sure, what did he do?” asked Hyejin, interested.
“This person over here, this man, he does not have any money, he always borrowed his friend’s, so I decided to break up with him.”
“Oh my god, are you being serious? He got a card!”
“Is it his though? I am sure some of his crazy rich friends lend it to him. You know what, I had to pay for our meals while we were dating back then! Not once, but thrice I guess,” said her in a serious and annoyed tone. No one would think that this girl was actually lying, what a good actress! She then eyed him to react to make it more believable.
“Shut the fuck up, you bitch! No, no baby, don’t believe in her. She is lying” exclaimed Christian.
“Really, Ian? I am lying?” scoffed her, “You want me to call someone who might prove that I am not lying?” asked her with a burning gaze.
“Baby, can I talk to you? In private?” asked Hyejin. God if only she could replay the girl’s reaction all over again, she would do it. Hyejin looked pale and nervous, bet because she was afraid Christian would ask her to pay all the things back.
“Sure, sure. Just go, I will wait here. Goodluck Hyejin, he is not an easy man,” winked her. But wait, were they going to talk or going home? Why would Hyejin bring all of her things? Could it be….
Moments later, Christian was back inside the restaurant, alone. There was no sign of Hyejin at all. Where the heck was she?
“Where the hell is Hyejin?” asked her, concerned.
“What do you think pump?”
“Home?!”
“Yeah, she is like what I had expected, only want to be with me because of my money,” said Christian, annoyed.
“Are you okay, Ian? How though? Just like that?”
“I don’t think I am sad as I already see this coming, after all, we met at a club and she was the one who approached me first. She told me that she thinks she needs a break because she doesn’t think she likes me that much, bullshit right?”
“What the fuck, full of bullshit. And then, what did you say?”
“I laughed and told her ‘Wow we are same. I don’t like you that much too, if only that little shit did not tell you, we would last though’ and then I smirked and said she is sexy.”
“I can’t believe you said something like that, and then?”
“Can’t you tell? I learnt it from you bitch. And she was like, ‘Okay we are done, do not find me after this as I will not find you too. Let’s just forget whatever had happened between us.’ and I was like ‘Oh okay cool, yeah we should do that, are we done?’ and then she nodded and left. That’s it.” Christian finished off his explanation with a deep breath.
“You deserve someone better Ian, next time do not go out with some random girl you meet at a club, I mean you know, god do I have to advise you on this kind of thing?”
“Thanks, pump, I don’t think I could break it off if you didn’t help me. I am amazed by your acting, damn, never thought you could act? Should I cast you on my video next time?” teased Christian while laughing, remembering back her acting.
“Fuck you, and don’t forget bitch, my fucking latte for a week,” said her as she stood up to leave the restaurant to get her latte at the Starbucks.
He got out of his car, slowly. He wasn't in the best of the moods that morning, and it was because he knew. He knew what would happen as soon as he put his foot in the office. Things would be weird. 'Oh Hell, they will surely be,' he thought as he went through the automatic door of the building.
One would say he had never been that fast when it came to starting work, and they would be right. Trying to avoid Christian wasn't easy at all: no individual office nor much privacy in that small office of them. That's why he quickly turned on his computer and got hands on with work. He sighed with relief when he realised Christian was out, working in the recording something and slowed down a bit, but he was never that lucky.
"All the women in this world, and it had to be my best friend," he heard Ian's voice behind his back. His colleague (could he call him 'friend' from now on?) put a cup of coffee on his desk, as he leaned against it. Dabin knew it was his way of saying 'I need to talk'.
They had started to work together a couple of years ago when the company hired Christian for the artistic stuff. They got along since the very first moment they met, and they had been hanging out quite a lot outside work. However, Christian had never introduced his friends, and now he wondered if it would have changed anything.
"Destiny is a bitch."
"Oh, I don't believe in destiny," said Ian with a low tone voice. He sounded tense, as if he were holding back.
That caused a reaction on him, as he fell his back and jaw tensing, and he clenched his fists, trying not to let the anger take over. He wouldn't let Christian intimidate him, though.
"Call it karma, then."
Christian sighed and stood straight, moving away from his desk. It seemed like the air started to flow again, and their primary instinct disappeared at last.
His voice changed completely as he spoke again, almost in a pleading tone, scared voice.
"Did you tell her?"
"Tell her what?"
"You know what."
Of course he knew, he knew too well... And he hadn't stop thinking about it for a second since last night.
" I didn't," he murmured.
His colleague looked so relieved he couldn't even hide it. All the tension he seemed to have been keeping on his shoulders suddenly disappeared, and he could breathe normally again.

He didn't remember exactly when was it, maybe two years ago or so. They were having a drink (or a couple) after work on a Friday evening. Ian was talking about how annoying her best friend was. Maybe he was a bit drunk. He had thought how funny he was, back then, mumbling non-stop and complaining about this guy she was seeing.
"And now she's seeing this guy, and I swear, he's a complete idiot. She's got the worst of tastes when it comes to guys."
"So you think she should be dating you, you mean," he had answered.
He had known him for a short time and had already witnessed several girls coming in and out of his life. At first, he had thought he was just another unfeeling idiot, but then, after much observing, he had noticed that something was missing, every time, with every girl. He was always good at knowing people even more than they knew themselves, and that guy was like a fully open book with its title in capital letters.
Christian had looked at him, horrified, after that bold statement. He didn't remember what he said after that, only that it was an endless succession of poorly argued excuses and strong self-denial.
He ended up letting it go that evening, being Christian as drunk as he was by then, but decided to talk to him about it later on. He was curious, he couldn't help it.
It took two of three girlfriends, much drinking together and the breakup of his friend with her boyfriend for him to finally admit that he had a crush on her. At least, that's what he said. Even then, he was lying to himself. He was completely, hopelessly in love with her, and he couldn't even admit that, nor start to imagine to which extent his feelings controlled him. And he tried to fight them with girls and indifference, Dabin knew as much as that, but he couldn't understand why.
__________________________
"So please, let it stay that way," said Ian, almost with a trembling voice.
Even now, he was fighting, fighting so hard.
"I never really understood why."
"Why what?"
"Hide your feelings for her so desperately."
"You would never understand."
"Yeah, I wouldn't. I mean, I never had a friendship like that. It's like if you needed each other so much that you can't help it but hate the other for it."
Christian said nothing, but he didn't move, either. He felt his heart beating faster, the blood heating up his skin, making it burn.
"I don't think it's fair for her, but I won't say anything. But I'm not doing it as a favour to you, but to myself. I like her a lot, and I don't want her to hurt because your friendship ends or God knows what."
"Thank you," was all Christian could say before his girlfriend appeared and suddenly was all over him, not really caring much about being at work.

Hey guys! How are you doing? I finally got my shit together and managed to write a chapter, yeeeei!! This chapter was too long, so I decided to split it up into two parts. I’ll upload the next part this week.
Christian / Reader ㅤㅤㅤ Ex-lovers to lovers AU ㅤㅤㅤ Words count: 4.8k
Summary: After seeing you laughing with another man, Ian decides to leave without talking with you or giving explanations. But he didn’t expect you could react like that. That was when the downward spiral started for you.
Sky was already dark when you left the coffee shop you owned, humming one of your favorite songs. Your day was pretty hard, you had a lot of clients but it made you more happy than something else. You loved it when people came into your shop and asked for their coffee or tea, smiling and knowing they would obviously love their drink. Moreover, your best friend came to help you and made you laugh through this exhausting day. You loved this guy so much and you knew you could be yourself with him because he always understood you better than anyone and never judged you.
With a happy smile on your lips, you walked across the street, wondering what you would eat for dinner and reached the apartment you shared with your boyfriend. Well, you didn't really share it but he was more at yours than his so it was like you both lived together.
You opened the front door and were immediately welcomed by his dog.
"Hi baby!" You smiled with a cute voice, picking the pinscher in your arms, chuckling when she started to lick all over your face. "Yes, yes, mommy's home. Where's daddy?"
You put Lori on the floor and watched her run to your bedroom, waving her tiny tail. You followed the adorable dog and went in the room, smiling widely.
"Ian, what do you wanna-" You froze as you saw two bags on the bed, Christian putting his clothes in them. "Ia... Ian... What... What are you doing?" You asked, eyes wide open, shaking in fear.
"Don't talk to me." He growled without looking at you. "We're done."
You felt your heart drop in your chest as tears started to blur your vision before running along your cheeks. It couldn't be over. You took a step towards Ian, not able to understand what was going on and looked at the bags.
"Ian... I... I don't understand..."
"Which part don't you understand when I say we're done? You, me, us, finished! Better?!" He almost yelled at you.
"Did... did I do some... something wrong?" You asked with a trembling voice but he still didn't look at you and took his bags. "Ian, talk to me. Tell me what I did."
You grabbed his forearm and forced him to face you but the only thing you could see was the anger in his mesmerizing dark brown eyes. He hated you at this moment, he hated you so much. He pulled his arm away and walked over to the living room, adding some of his stuff in the bags. Accidentally, he pushed a photo of you both that crashed on the floor. He gave a quick look and continued his way.
You picked up the little wooden frame and noticed the glass was broken, like you, your mind, your heart. You throw it away and ran over Christian, hitting his back, crying.
"You can't do this! You can't leave me!"
"Get off of me!" He growled again before facing you and grab your wrists.
"Tell me what I did, Ian! Tell me and I promise I won't do it again! Please, tell me!"
It broke his heart to see you like that but he had no choice. He saw you with that guy, smiling and laughing like you never did with him. He saw the sweet and knowing glances you shared with that guy. He even saw the hugs and the kiss this stranger put on your forehead as you were smiling, eyes closed. He saw everything and he needed to get away from you before being totally broken.
He let go of your wrists and was about to move when you wrapped your arms around his middle, your face buried against his chest, tears flooding your cheeks. He tried to pull you away but you tightened your grip like the desperate woman that you were. You wanted him to talk to you, to explain what you did wrong.
"I said get off of me!" Christian shouted, pushing you brutally against the couch. "How can you ask me what you did wrong?! I saw you, Y/n! I saw you with that bastard, at your shop!"
"Min... Minhyuk?! He's a friend! He's just a friend, Ian!"
"Are you serious, Y/n?! A friend?! What kind of friend acts like that?! I saw you! He's not just a friend!"
"Ian, please, listen to me! You have to believe me!" You begged him, grabbing his black shirt, hearing Lori barking in the back. "I swear to God, Minhyuk is nothing more than a friend! You can ask him, there's nothing between us! We’ve know each other for years, he's like a brother to me!"
"A brother doesn't kiss his sister like that." Ian sighed, removing your hands from him. "I never imagined this could be happen, that you could be like that."
"You know I'm not like that, Ian! Please! You know me!"
"That's what I thought but... I'm not sure anymore. We're done, Y/n. Don't call me, forget me because that's what I'll do. I don't want to see you again."
You looked at him, mouth half open, eyes crying and heart broken. You wanted to grab his shirt again, to wrap your arms around his chest and tell him he was wrong but you couldn't move or say anything. You watched him pick up Lori and walk to the door without looking at you. You jumped a little when you heard the door slam and fell on your knees, staring at nothing. It was over, he left you, the only man you loved this much thought you were cheating on him and left you. You were done.
Done. Done. Done. This word was turning on loop in your head for almost a month. You tried to see and call Christian for two weeks but gave up when you finally accepted that he didn't want to have anything to do with you. You also tried to reach his friends but they didn't answer you either. All the crew left you.
You still worked at your shop, closing it earlier than usually. You tried to smile at your clients but some of them noticed you were faking it and asked what was wrong. Every time, you replied you were sick or you had a little fight with a "friend". You started to drink, didn't eat healthy and your apartment looked like a mess. Pizza boxes, ramyuns cups, empty bottles, etc... Yeah, it was a fucking big mess like your life was.
Every night, you watched all the videos you took with Christian during your vacations or free days. You knew it didn't help you to do that but seeing Ian's smile was the only thing that could ease your pain. You didn't sleep a lot either, dreaming, if we can say "dreaming", of this night all the time. And, every morning, you woke up with red eyes and tried to cover the exhaustion on your face with pretty make up. But you knew this wasn't going to work much longer. You couldn't hide what you felt anymore.
When you woke up this morning, you thought your legs were broken and, when you looked at them, you noticed a lot of small red spots on them. It wasn't painful, but it was like your legs couldn't support you anymore. You grabbed your phone and called the hospital, explaining what happened to you.
"I tried to stand up but I can't. My stomach and my throat hurt too. Hm... No, I'm... I'm alone. Yes, okay. Thank you."
You hung up your phone and tried to reach some clothes beside your bed. An ambulance was going to pick you up and bring you to the hospital but you didn't want to be seen almost naked. You hardly put on a pair of sweat pants and a white shirt Ian forgot at yours and waited in your bed. Few minutes later, you heard the concierge opening the front door of your apartment and saw two men in white uniform, a worried look on their face. Was it that bad?
You didn't know when you reached the hospital since you fell asleep in the ambulance but, when you woke up in the white room, you saw an IV in both of your forearms. You raised your head and looked at the two suspended glass bottles above your bed. You frowned and heard someone open the door.
"Oh, you're awake?" The nurse said with surprise. "I'll call the doctor."
You nodded silently and waited few minutes again before seeing a handsome tall man came in, a file in his right hand. You watched him walking over your bed and bowed your head politely.
"Hello, Miss Y/n. I'm the Dr Park, I'm in charge of you."
"What happened to me, Dr?" You asked, feeling pain in your throat.
"Can I ask you some questions?" He saw you nodded. "Did something happen in your life, lately? Did you quit or lose your job? Did you lose someone or had some issues with your family?"
"I... I... My boyfriend broke up with me." You answered, trying not to cry. "A... a month ago."
"And when was your last meal?"
You wanted to reply it was the day before but the doctor added "real meal", letting you know that he didn't mean pizza or cup of ramyuns. You lowered your head and started to intertwine your fingers, trying to avoid the doctor's gaze.
"I... I... I don't... remember..." You admitted in a whisper. "I'm... not hungry."
"We also noticed a high dose of alcohol in your blood. Listen, Miss Y/n, I don't know what you feel but if you don't eat and keep drinking like you do, this will end badly. We will keep you here until the end of the week and, if the results are good, you can leave next Tuesday."
You nodded and thanked him before asking if you could get out a bit. The doctor told you, you can't walk but he would request a wheelchair for you. You thanked him again and, almost 30 minutes later, you could leave your room and take some fresh air.
The doctor's words were turning on loop in your head as you were rolling through the little, but amazing, park behind the hospital. For the first time in a month, you watched at the sky and realize the weather was pretty good. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath when you suddenly heard a familiar voice.
"No more shopping cart race with him."
You opened wide your eyes and looked right in front of you. Your heart skipped a beat when you saw Dabin and Scott who had a casted foot. You wanted to "drive away" but you were frozen, mouth half-open and hands shaking. Tears reached your eyes and you looked away when Dabin raised his head and looked at you.
By chance, he didn't recognize you for a moment and just walked by. It was true you had changed a lot since you almost lost 33lbs. You sighed in relief but froze again when you heard him saying something to Scott.
"Wait... Is that..." You heard him come back to you and you prayed all the gods you knew so he couldn't recognize you. Fail. He stopped in front of you with eyes wide open, didn't know what to say.
"Hi Dabin." You whispered, trying to smile. "How... How are you?"
"Y/n, what happ-" He started before seeing you stare at him with amused but sad eyes. "How long have you been here? Can... can I help you?"
You chuckled lightly and looked away. "I've been hospitalized today. A bad flu."
"You've always been a bad liar." Scott teasing you a bit as he sat on a bench next to you. "Look at you, Y/n. You can't do this to yourself."
"I didn't ask for your advice, Scott. Take care of yourself, guys."
You turned your wheelchair and drove away, tears rolling along your cheeks. Things couldn't be worse, now.
You had to stay two more days before you could leave the hospital but the doctor said your state was getting better. He prescribed a special treatment you had to take at home and told you to come every two weeks for three months. You thanked him for his help and took a taxi to your apartment, knowing you had a lot of things to do like really big cleaning. You were about to unlock the door when you noticed it was already open. Someone was in your apartment...
You pushed the door silently and saw your apartment was totally clean. You took off your shoes as much discreetly as you could and walked on tiptoes when you saw Lori running to you, her tiny tail waving frantically. You dropped your bag and picked the dog up, hugging her close to you.
"I missed you too, baby." You sobbed as you let her lick your nose and mouth. "I missed you so much."
You raised your head as you heard him leaving the kitchen and walking over to you. Ian put his shoulder against the wall and lowered his head, a sad smile on his lips. He knew what happened, what you've gone through, he almost felt the same. Almost.
"How did you get in?" You asked as cold as you could, not knowing how you were supposed to be with him.
"I forgot them in my vest." Ian answered, showing you the set of keys, you gave him a year ago. "Dabin told me about your-"
"You can leave, now." You cut him off as you put Lori back on the floor. "Thank you for cleaning up my apartment but I'm back now. So... you can leave. You know where the door is."
You walked past him and went to your kitchen before open one of the cupboard and seeing something was missing.
"Where is it?" You sighed and faced Ian. "Where's the bottle?"
"I don't think drinking whiskey is good for you, Y/n. Especially now."
"You don't know what's good for me, Ian."
He watched you walking over to him and pushed him from your way before opening the drawer under the coffee table in your living room. No bottle. Under the couch? No bottle. Behind the big potted plant that Ian named Jim? No bottle. In your bedroom? No bottle. In the all apartment? No bottle, not at all.
And God knew how much you needed a glass of whiskey!
"I threw them all away." Christian sighed when you came back from the bathroom. "Seriously, Y/n. Even in the bathroom."
You felt an incredible anger taking all over your body and, without wanting it, you slapped Ian's face. Lori started to growl at you but you didn't care that much. You could only see Ian massaging his jaw, his eyes full on sadness.
"I guess I deserve it." He sighed again, raising his head and looking straight into your angry eyes. "Y/n, I-"
"How could you do this to me?" You grunted, clenching your fists and trying to hold back your tears. "How could you, Ian? You thought you could just come back like that and clean my house to be forgiven? I almost died because of you! Because you left me! Can you understand that?!"
You didn't notice that you started to cry as you yelled at him. You wanted to hit him, you wanted it so much but your heart almost dropped in your chest when you slapped him and you didn't want to feel that pain again. You wanted him to suffer as much as you did. And at the same time, you wanted to be in his arms, you wanted him to say he was sorry, he was an idiot, because that what he was.
"Get out of my apartment, Ian!" You yelled as you pointed your finger at the door. "How could you think-"
"I came to see you." He cut you off, head down, his shaking voice catching you off guard. "I knew your treatment was strong and you fell asleep during your IVs. I came to see you every day."
"You... The old friend..." You breathed, remembering the bouquet of flowers you saw every time after your IVs. "I... I thought it was Dabin." You shook your head. "And you think I'll forgive you with that?! With a fucking bouquet?! You almost killed me, Ian!"
"And I can't forgive myself for that. I know what I did is unforgivable, but I wanted you to know that I... that I still lo-"
"Don't you dare say that to me! You can't say that now! I hate you so much!"
Your voice cracked and you ran to him, starting to hit his chest as hard as you could. You couldn't hurt him physically, you were to weak and Ian had always been stronger than you but seeing you like that, crying all the tears that you held, screaming you hated him was more hurtful than anything else for him. He watched you pulling away and turning your back on him.
Christian felt his tears roll down on his cheeks as he saw your shoulders moving feverishly, your face buried in your hands. He took his jacket, picked up Lori that was looking and whimpering at you and reached the front door, whispering he was sorry before leaving your apartment.
Lifting up your head, you looked right in front you and wiped the tears on your cheeks. A long and sad sigh left your lips as you turned and faced the front door.
"Me too, Ian." You whispered. "Me Too."
You got back to work few days after leaving the hospital and were so happy to see that your clients missed you. A lot of them even took few minutes on their schedules to talk with you and cheer you up, saying you were an incredible strong woman who will find a man who would really deserve you. Everytime, you thanked them with a shy smile and said Ian couldn't know you would react like that to your breakup. Even if he hurt you, you couldn't let him take all the blame.
Like you said to Minhyuk, you could understand why Ian reacted like he did. It was true that you and your best friend were close, very close, and Ian met Minhyuk a couple of times, not more. You could understand why Ian thought you and your best friend were more than what you said because, yes, you were acting like if there was more than just a friendship between you both. Moreover, you knew that Minhyuk loved you, you were a dream girl for him but he would never touch you or try something with you. Seeing his best friend more than happy in her love life was enough for him. Yes, he loved you and wanted you to be happy even if it was with Ian.
When Minhyuk entered your coffee shop with a huge bouquet of pink roses, a large smile stretched your lips as your clients stared at you.
"Are you serious, Minhyuk?" You laughed as he reached the counter. "And can you tell me why?"
"Because you deserve it, you idiot." He replied raising his eyebrows.
You took the bouquet from his hands and put them in a jug, thanking your best friend for this wonderful gift. But, when you turned to face and hug him, you saw a bruise on his cheek bone. You immediately asked what happened to him but you knew he was lying when he told you he had a fight at his work.
"Minhyuk, what happened?" You repeated, frowning. "Are you in trouble? Did you start playing again?"
Your best friend laughed and reassured you, saying he just had a little fight with a man he met the day before. You gave him a concerned look and listened to him apologize for not being able to come earlier. He had a lot of work and you could see in his face he was exhausted.
"Give me a hug, help me with the clients and I'll forgive you." You smirked, opening your arms.
Minhyuk wrapped his arms around your shoulders and kissed the top of your head, whispering you were the best woman on Earth. You whispered back that you knew it when you heard the small bell under the door jingle and saw Dabin and Cline entered your shop. You smiled at them and asked what they wanted.
"We missed your coffee." Cline smiled, looking discreetly at Minhyuk.
"It's true that you didn't come often lately. I didn't expect the whole crew break up with me. I thought I was dating Ian, not all of you. We were closer than I thought." You teasing him with a cheeky smile. "Anyway. An americano for Dabin and a latte for you, right? I'll bring them to you."
The men nodded and thanked you before sitting at a table, still looking at your best friend. They noticed the bouquet and started to talk about it when you bring them their order.
"How are the guys? Does Scott still have his cast?" You asked, sitting with them.
"They're fine. And Scott... We told him it wasn't a good idea to race against Ian in shopping carts." Dabin answered, taking a sip of his americano. "Still the best coffee of Seoul."
"Tell him to drink aloe verra juice and eat a lot of vegetables. It will help him to recover faster."
"And you? How are you?" Cline asked with a concerned look. "Are you... fine?"
"I'll be honest, it's hard but... I didn't drink a lot since I left the hospital and I try to eat healthy but, yes, it's hard." You looked at them with a smile. "I don't want people pity me, I don't need that, but living without Ian is harder than I could imagine. But I hope he's fine, he deserves to be happy."
"Did you talk with him since the last time?" Dabin asked. "He told us about your fight."
You chuckled, amused by the fact they were interested and worried about your relationship with Christian. They weren't the type of guys who could be interested by their friend’s relationships but you knew they liked you and saw you as a real and close friend.
You shook your head and left their table, wishing them a good day. You didn't want to talk about your ex boyfriend, even less with his best friends. In fact, you didn't want to talk about Ian at all. It still was too painful for you.
You closed your shop at 9pm, like you used to do and ran to yours, caught in the rain. With wet hair and clothes, you reached your apartment when you saw Christian, as soaked as you, sitting in front of your door, head down, Lori sleeping in his arms. Tilting your head, you sighed and reached your door, telling him to come in.
Without looking at him or adding anything, you took off your jacket, threw it on your kitchen bar and opened a cupboard, taking your whiskey bottle. Even if you didn't drink a lot, you still need a glass or two, sometimes. The doctor told you the cure could be hard but you did well.
You turned to face Ian and saw he was looking all around, trying to avoid your eyes, Lori still in his arms. You knew he could be cute sometimes but it was the first time you saw him acted like a little boy who was afraid to be scolded. A small smile stretched your lips as you took a sip of the alcohol and you told him he could relax, you wouldn't slap his face this time. He smiled sadly, thinking about this and put his dog on the floor.
"Do you... Do you drink-"
"I don't drink a lot." You cut him off, chuckling. "Just a glass a day, not a bottle like I did. Why did you come? Did you forget something?"
He slipped his hand in his jeans' pocket and showed you the keys he forgot to give you back last time.
"You could put them in my mailbox."
"I wanted to see you." He admitted, lowering his head. "I wanted to apologize properly. Minhyuk came to-"
"Minhyuk?!" You repeated, opening wide your eyes. "Did you hit him?! Tell me you didn't."
"I'm sorry." He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "He... he told me he'll take you on a date if I couldn't take you back."
"He what?!" You choked with your whiskey. "I swear to God, I'm gonna kill him."
"I hit him because I knew-"
"You knew what, Ian?" You cut him off again. "That you couldn't take me back? You idiot."
You put your glass on the kitchen counter and got closer to him, cupping his face in your hands and forcing him to look at you. You could see how sorry he was and how hard he tried to hold back his tears.
"Can I ask you something?" You whispered before seeing him nodding silently. "How could you think I was cheating on you? How could think that, Ian?"
"I don't know, Y/n." He replied in the same tone. "When I saw you with him, I... I thought that you didn't love me anymore, that you found someone better than me."
"There's no one better than you." You murmured as he lifted up his face quickly. "Ian, I loved you and I would give you my life if you asked me. You were the reason why I woke up every morning. The reason why I smiled. I loved you, Ian, I was yours, totally yours." You looked straight into his eyes and, with a lovely smile, you added: "And I always will be."
Christian opened wide his eyes and grabbed your face, pulling you into a passionate and long-awaited kiss. You froze for a second but ended up wrapping your arms around his neck, kissing him back. Your heart was racing and feeling Ian's lips against yours again gave you so many feelings and sensations. It was like you missed him for years.
"I'm so sorry, Y/n." Ian whispered against your lips, leaning his forehead against yours. "I... I was so afraid when I saw you at the hospital and I don't know what I would've done if you'd left me."
"Shhh." You muttered, caressing his bottom lips with your thumb. "It's okay, love, everything's fine now. I'm here with you and I won't go anywhere. I'll stay with you, okay?"
You felt him nodding against your head and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him. Chuckling a little, you asked him to talk to you next time he would have a doubt about something and let him know you needed to take a shower. He stared at you with a smirk that made you laugh.
"With you, of course!"
After a long, very long, shower in wich you didn't really wash yourself, you spent the rest of the night in Christian's arms, cuddling on the couch, eating junk food and watching some stupid movies. To be honest, you weren't really looking at the tv, more focused on Ian's tattoos that you retraced with your fingers.
Feeling sleep getting stronger, you whispered in Ian's ear that you were going to sleep and grabbed his hand, letting him know you wouldn't be in your bed without him anymore. You laid down against him, burying your face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you as close as he could against him.
"I love you." Ian whispered in your ear, burying his face in your neck.
"I love you too." You smiled, rubbing the back of his head with your fingers. "Idiot."
He growled slightly and kissed your shoulder, a small smile stretching his lips. You chuckled a little and felt Lori jump on the bed, sneaking behind your knees. Your family was complete again.
