π» note: i headcanon neil as a caregiver because throughout the movie he's constantly trying to get control of his own life and make his own decisions and i just think taking care of someone really fits him (considering how badly he wanted to take care of and cheer up todd!!) neil's favourite activities to do with his bubba (neil) are: walking around the school grounds & surrounding woods, reading poetry and playing pretend, he loves the drama of some of the scenarios todd comes up with. he calls todd bubba/bub/bubby and likes being called papa!! he writes letters when he's in a caregiver mindset that todd takes home with him over the holidays or anytime he's away from the school/neil. he's insanely good at doing voices when he's reading a story to todd. he's huge on physical touch and will always be reaching for todds hand to guide him around, sitting with todd nestled into his side and giving the boy forehead pecks when he's done something good (and randomly, he just loves making the boy feel cared for.)
