rewatching chicago med mmm they’re both autistic and i wish they had more scenes together
I wonder if Dr. Latham likes kreplach or matzah balls (or both)
Feel free to reblog with your opinion or with your own preferences
let’s just take a quick moment to appreciate the wonderful recurring surgeons of med.
dr. isidore latham: the sweetest most genuinely kind character on that enture damn show who has grown SO much and cares SO much and who learns a new language every frickin year just because. who has been hurt and mocked by people his whole life for seeing things differently and for not understanding emotions like everyone else. the kindest, least problematic cardiothoracic surgeon gaffney chicago medical surgeon has ever had and will ever had.
dr. sam abrams: the blunt neurosurgeon who is not here for your bullshit. who isn’t blunt because he doesn’t care, but because he does. who actually listens to patient wishes UNLIKE LITERALLY ALL OF THE MAINS and who is hella smart and knows how to call out all of those annoying melodramatic doctors over in the ED. again: just a reminder, he is not here for your bullshit.
Dr. Isidore Latham from Chicago Med is a canonically autistic autigender trans man with anxiety!
I’m watching seasons 1 and 2 of Chicago Med because I never saw them and I just watched Chicago Med season 2 episode 12 “Graveyard Shift” IT IS SO SAD
Dr. Latham is the best new character of s2. He’s one of the best examples of how well character interaction can work to reveal layers of a character. I liked how he came to the conclusion that his detachment from certain human emotions, made him better at surgical procedures.
He’s a good example of engaging storytelling without drama overload.
