Boxleitner and Brayns Part III

Here’s more of the Strange Case of Dr. Boxleitner and Mr. Brayns! I added two new characters; Becky Utterson and Violet Enfield. I kind of want to make comics based off of the book- which I read... again... for about the fourth time now... anyways, I hope you like it and have an amazing day!

Boxleitner and Brayns

This is the Jekyll and Hyde AU and I’m not sure if I love it or if I’m just ‘eh’ towards it. I’m not sure if anyone’s ever done it before so I’m not gonna take credit for creating the AU. But wasn’t Dr. Two Brains’ character based on Jekyll and Hyde? I’m not sure but this was still fun to draw. I sort of based Steven’s outfit on the Dr. Jekyll from The Glass Scientists. As for Mr. Hyde/Dr. Two Brains I wasn’t sure what his name would be at first then my mind just went ‘Two... two... Tom... TOM KENNY’ so that’s where that came from and I changed the spelling of Brains because... I’m not sure actually. I’m just weird like that. Anyways, have an amazing day!

I absolutely love this! Dr. Two Brains’ character was based on Jekyll and Hyde. It used to say on his character profile that he “battles with himself in a Jekyll-and-Hyde way, trying to contain his uncontrollable urge to steal cheese and take over the city”, but I checked his profile again and for some reason the “Jekyll-and-Hyde” part was removed. 

The name you chose was great, and your art just keeps getting better.

Boxleitner and Brayns Part II

Help I can’t stop drawing these goofballs. This is another drawing of the Jekyll and Hyde AU, this time featuring Tobey. (I casted him as Lanyon because I wanted him in this but I wanted him to make sense with the story, I figured him and Dr. Two Brains don’t really get along sometimes and Lanyon doesn’t like Hyde sooooo-) I don’t know why but this AU has grown on me and I can’t stop drawing them. And yes Brayns is sort of ghostly because only Steven can see him and when he is in charge, he will only be able to see Brayns (because y’know... they’re the same person... I’ll stop talking now-) Have an amazing day!

Tobey is a great choice for Lanyon! He’s a very practical, hands-on kind of scientist. And I like that Boxleitner and Brayns can interact with each other when one is in control, what a cool concept. I wish we got something more like this in the show. I hope you continue with this AU, it’s funny with ominous undertones. Is Becky Utterson in this AU?
