for @thedrabblecollective's challenge
With every diary page soaked in heartfelt ink, Caleb's stomach sinks with palpable guilt. He shouldn't be doing this. He shouldn't be walking in and opening every drawer of her room when she's out just to see if maybe she wrote about him during his time away.
Something wicked in his veins thrusts selfish gain: if she didn't, can he move on? Can his eyes finally wander, or will they be chained to the hands that filled this damn book with hopes, dreams, wants?
Gege.
Time stops. Reassurance soothes the beast of envy.

Watchtower Abbey
Today, the Misses Belova and Starr accompanied me to the marketplace, chaperoned by the Contessa Allegra de Fontaine.
Oh, Diary! Imagine how my heart leapt… nay, soared… when we saw Mr. Barnes with the Messrs. Walker and Reynolds, who were inspecting young horses that the local stable masters had brought. I declare, I thought I might faint straight away when he bade me a good day and asked after my family.
The Contessa says these bachelors are bound for any one of us, but I wish that Mr. Barnes is meant for me. He's so handsome, and above all, thoughtful.
Eevee and I competed in the semi-finals, then watched the finals, of the pokemon ping-pong international championships today. I regret that we did not proceed to the finals, but I couldn't have asked to loose to a better team. Ambipom and her trainer, O, were simply incredible, and I'm glad that they won after they so thoroughly defeated us.
We ran into a surprise there, too. Ash Ketchum, our very own Alolan champion and world monarch, was in the audience with his friend, Dawn. Both were there for Ambipom, who seemed delighted to see them both.

Title: To Make This House a Home
Fandom: Liselotte & Witch's Forest
Characters: Hilde

Hilde kept a diary. She had started back when she was human, and had continued after becoming a witch. At the time, she had been romanticizing her daily life to overcome the tragedy it was, to convince herself not to give up.
As a witch, with her dream still escaping her despite her magic, it was a way to pretend she was not the failure others claimed she was.
But now, writing her latest entry, she realized she wasn't fantasizing anymore. Her dream had yet to come true, but the warmth, the friendship, the laughter... That was all finally true.
AN: Please do not upload this to any other fanfiction or original writing site (Ao3, Wattpad, FFnet); this is currently only for Tumblr. I also do not consent to having this used to train any AI. Thank you.
Diary... I'm tired. Not the most original revelation, but I *can* complain to you, so I will.
Today at the Sanctuary, we had to harvest all of the corn, bean, and squash crops. My arms burn from all the baskets of corn husks I had to carry to the cellar, and the moment the final fruit and vegetables were collected, my body ached with relief.
But, it's good work. We'll need all this for the coming winter, when we'll grow our lettuce, broccoli, and carrots. Thankfully we have enough to feed everyone for now.
More to come, faithful friend.

Fandom: Dragon Age the Veilguard
Pairing: f!Rook/Neve
Rating: PG for this one, overall M, just to be sure
Word count: 100 (duh!)
Author's note: I'm currently working on a long fic (slow burn) that will tell the story of Asha (my Rook) and Neve. I'm currently working on chapter six and it will be a bit before I'll start posting it. These drabbles are technically happening after that story since it will be snap shots of key moments in their relationship Asha remembers after DAtV (and before the sequel I have ideas for). I don't think there will be any spoilers for the fic ('Rook on the Seventh Rank' will be the title) if you've played the game. I'm not inventing the wheel anew just sharing some new perspective from Asha.
I want to work on these drabbles to help me get to know my Rook better and getting her voice down and sharing some insight into her motivation and reasoning, since the long fic will be mostly (not all of it though) from Neve's PoV.
(this author's note is already longer than the drabble LOL)
Author's note 2: Thanks to my wife, who's always supporting me in my writing endeavors and is cheering me on after I ended a IDK five year hiatus? I couldn't do this without you.
Thank you for all the kudos and comments I got on this series so far. After not writing for a really long time this really means so much to me.

Drabble under the cut!
Entering the workshop Asha caught Bellara writing in some notebook.
"Is that a diary?" she asked, grinning.
"No, not exactly," Bellara answered sheepishly. "It's just, I can't get any serials from Minrathous right now, because of, well … you know, the dragon, the Venatori, public executions. I don't want to bother Neve with something so mundane when she's clearly, … busy … So I decided to write my own."
Asha nodded whistfully. "So it's not just me then. You've noticed she's changed too?"
It relieved and concerned her equally. There was a cold grip around her heart. Was Neve too far gone already?
