Hmm, why not make a dragon out of Sans?
The idea came up by itself (I know that I'm not a pioneer in this), but now I want to develop from this a little story about how Toriel asked the dragon Sans to guard Frisk in an underground castle
I hope I will be able to develop the story I have conceived in the form of mini comics 👀
i’m not sure if anyone will be interested in this, but i’ve been playing around with this dragon!sans x reader oneshot for a bit, and i wanted to share the beginning of it with you guys!! i think it might be posted to ao3 in a week? we’ll see!! 🌚
basically reader is a knight, sent to slay sans, a terrifying skeleton-dragon who has been destroying neighboring villages. but of course, there’s something much deeper at play here…
it has MAJOR fantasy/d&d vibes, and honestly i could see it quickly going from a one shot to a bigger project lmao. if that sounds cool, you can find the intro under the cut!! :3
reader is gender neutral!!
There were legends about that mountain.
Long-told fables passed between towns of the beasts that lurked in its caverns. Clans of trolls and cyclops, groups of harpies and wild boars— things most travelers would do well to steer clear from. But its newest resident, a Great Cold-Drake, so they say, has been wreaking particular havoc on the surrounding villages.
Anyone going up that mountain was just looking for trouble. You should avoid it, at all costs.
You can’t help but chuckle at the tavern keeper, which only makes him stiffen. “Uh, seriously? A dragon? I think you’ve been listening to too many stories.” You adjust the hilt of your sword, uncomfortable in the barstool you’re sitting at. “Now is it a safe way North or not?”
“It’s no fable, traveler,” he continues, his face stony as he pours a drink for another patron. “The hellish beast came with the winter, decimating crops and stealing men from the night, without a trace or sound.”
A soundless dragon? It seems unlikely. In fact, a dragon at all this far South was practically unheard of. They were largely Northern creatures, preferring the wintry mountains and seclusion they provided, although a few species were known to wander from their territory.
The thought sends a shiver down your spine. If this really was a dragon, then maybe now was your chance. Slaying a dragon was the sort of thing that made someone legend, after all.
“Is that so?” you ask, raising your voice a little. A few murmurs resound across the tavern, your conversation garnering attention.
“I’m missing livestock,” a villager lamented, his voice frail. Others quickly joined in, many having been impacted by the creature:
“My husband has been gone for days!”
”The fear is controlling our lives!”
You stood, your chest swelling. This is what you live for as a Knight — coming to the rescue when you were needed. You place a hand on your hilt, and put another one up to silence the suddenly roused villagers in the tavern.
“Everyone, worry no longer!” you announce, hoping you seem confident. “I will slay the beast, and free this village from his reign, I swear it!”
Cheers broke out across the tavern, villagers relieved that their terror would finally be over. A couple offer to buy you a round of mead, and after their insistence, you accept. The liquid warms your throat, steeling your resolve towards your upcoming journey. You were going to slay a dragon.
Suddenly curious, you ask the tavern keeper, “And what’s the name of this terrifying beast?”
His face falls, liquor spilling a bit as he pours it. “Legend says he has only one, a terrifying title that strikes fear in all.”
Legends had a funny way of getting twisted, so you remind yourself to take this with a grain of salt. “Alright. What is it?”
“Sans. Sans of Axor Ilcannar.”
The keeper glares at you when you snort. Sans. What a silly name for a dragon.

Again, the brain is not doing prompts this year. But it is able to work on WIPs, so have a chapter for a Soriel fic. And Happy Soriel Week
This is an AU where Sans is a dragon and Toriel is a sword-wielding warrior. (Frisk is also a girl in this, princess to be exact.)
Chapter Summary: Toriel arrives at the dragon's lair… Is it the friend she once had, and if so, what caused him to act out like this? Whatever the case, this is a rogue dragon who has terrorized the neighboring villages and kidnapped Frisk! As a sellsword and mother, she must do what needs to be done. The dragon needs to be slain!
So this is kinda coming out of left field, but I made Sans from Undertale into a dragon lmao. I was just suddenly struck with inspiration and I NEEDED to draw him. He comes with a whole au if anyone is interested lmao. And for those waiting for Dragon Sky he's almost done! He has colors!
