So this was a weird dream
I don't remember alll the deets but apparently I killed my brother's pet hawk (He doesn't have one IRL) and everyone hated me.
Maybe I could use this as inspo for Starbourne. Like Simon could have a dream that he killed Theodore's hawk, despite Theodore not having one.
if you could write your ideal ending for season 5 what would it be (also hi)
Hiya Howdy Shiny! Let's see into my mind lol
Okay here's my ideal
Hawkins: would be wiped off the earth. The town needs to be destroyed bc it was never good in the 1st place. Too many kidnapped or killed kids, innocents getting slaughtered by the fault of the government, and bigoted values. It's a small town so it's not uncommon for it to die off. Also, there's a gate to another dimension so yeah it need to go. This also forces people to leave and get out of their bubble if Hawkins were gone.
Will: he'd have powers that were dormant in him, but now he can use them bc he's finally expressing himself instead of repressing himself (due to trauma and stuff). He is healing and can finally leave the source of his pain, Hawkins, behind him. He'd be dating Mike his bf and they'd go to Vegas or college together or just explore life together now that they're free and accepting of themselves (tho obvi they'd still be processing their stolen youth etc). He'd keep in touch with his family and friends, but he'd be living with Mike. He'd also be the one to take out Vecna bc he's the literal antithesis of Vecna's manifesto.
Mike: He'd be able to leave Hawkins with Will his bf and cleric who healed him when he almost died at the hands of Vecna. Mike would assist Will in taking down Vecns but ultimately it's the power of gay love that ends the terror of Hawkins. Mike also works with El to help out Will, making the trio the very thing Vecna can't stand- a support system - since every time the group worked together Vecna lost big time. Mike would keep in touch with fam and friends but he'd live with Will/tour the world with Will. He and Will have some scars from the battle but are happy to finally say that it's over, no more UD. Mike also kisses Will 1st and Will kisses harder (cuz he finally got his mans)
El: she would finally be happy to not play hero by passing the torch to Will and Mike instead. El would either learn to live with her powers or decide to let them go now that she can be a normal girl after being seen as abnormal for so long (against her will cuz she never asked to be an experiment). El would work with Lucas to stay by Max's side after they save her. They tag team on helping Max out since I'm pretty sure Max is gonna be disabled. El would divide her time with Jopper, her bros, and Lumax now that she has the support system she's always dreamed of. She also visits Kali sometimes. El helped defeat Vecna by working together with Will, double trouble sibling love to stop Vecna.
Lucas: He would get a bigger role in s5 and be quite capable. He is a Ranger so his tracking skills should be utilized to find Max and Vecna. Lucas would help usher everyone's family to safety since Hawkins would be a battle zone. Lucas would be keeping Max safe and getting around town with a disabled Max (I'm assuming she'd be awake by now). He'd work with Erica as his righthand since s4 paired them up as a team. Lucas, after its all over, would move away from Hawkins with his family, taking Max with them bc I don't know if Max's mom can handle the pressure since they implied heavy that she's a drunk and pretty absent if she isn't with a man. Lucas would go to college, maybe with his friends, maybe with just Max.
Dustin: He'd help fortify Mike's plans with his science. He has tons of his inventions from Camp Know Where like the forever clock. Dustin would help fight and also lead people to safety since he was at the shelter in s4. He would also finally meet Suzie again in the finale when they all can leave Hawkins. He and Mike would bond by saying Eddie can finally rest in peace. He's hug Steve and go off to the same college as Suzie maybe.
Max: she'd be awake way before the finale but she'd need help getting around. Doubt the cracked streets of Hawkins are wheelchair accessible. She'd have knowledge of Vecna from being in the mind space so long and help lead Willel to the weakness. Max and Lucas would bond and so would Max and El. The 3 work together often as a team. Max gets accepted by the Sinclair family and she lives with them in her adulthood until Lucas and El can afford for all 3 of them to get their own place together. She stops having survivors guilt about Billy too. She also hugs the Party and realizes she deserves nice things and stops isolating herself.
Joyce: she learns to let go, like she lets Jonathan free from his 1st born daughter duties. She also trusts Will to do what he needs to do to defeat Vecna. Joyce also gives motherly advice for once to El. She and Hopper always have their door open for any of the kids to come through. Joyce also explained to the Party’s parents what's been going on. She and Karen bond more after realizing their sons are in love with each other. She and Hopper maybe get married if it doesn't time skip to a Byler wedding instead.
Jonathan: he goes to NYU and adjusts to finally only caring about himself for once. He moves into a dorm or apartment. Argyle and him are still besties. He is still close to Will and Joyce and gives brotherly advice for El. He and Nancy might have taken a break to focus on school, but they get back together after graduation. He really loves his photography classes.
Nancy: she goes to Emerson. She follows her dreams. She connects better with Mike after she finds out he doesn't love El but someone else (Will). She is the one who tells the party's parents to not blame Jopper for keeping all this UD stuff a secret and that they have bigger fish to fry (cuz she is tired of adults not listening). Nancy finally allows herself to have a girl best friend again in the form of Robin showing she's healed from Barb's death. Nancy gets more open with her emotions and connects with others after being so closed off.
Robin: she and Vickie have already gotten together mid season or maybe even ep 1 of s5. She and Mike have been talking about his sexuality after she clocks him mooning over Will. Robin works with Steve to take out some of the demo creatures and assist the party and co. She and Vickie leave town together.
Steve: he gives up on Nancy. Learns platonic love is just as important and fulfilling as romantic love. Works on himself to be a better person after being comfortable as a reformed popular kid. Steve leaves with Rockie or he accepts living alone and being used to the single life than chasing after girls. He keeps in touch with Robin, Erica, and Dustin cuz Scoops Troop for life.
Argyle: we get a last name reveal and some back story as to how he's able to just drop everything and be by Jonathan’s side (preferably love hc of his fam being mega rich and rich people just be doing whatever). He moves with Jonathan to New York cuz Jonathan needs a bestie after being friendless for so long. He and Lucas worked together in tracking stuff.
Hopper: accepts his mistakes and moves on like his ex wife did. He takes the Byers brothers under his wing officially. He shows El what real love is now that he can better communicate to the women in his life after s3 made him such a hard pill to swallow. Hopper gets to find a new job that's not the police force after being disillusioned by authority figures. He takes Argyle up on his offer about those mushrooms or whatever it was he found by Hopper's cabin.
Erica: finishes school somewhere else (actually got the government to have her graduate high school early as part of her NDA lol). She and Dustin are closer than ever after again going to war as comrades. Erica also got closer with Lucas so they are more mature in their interactions but still rag on each other. She's gonna find a way to get around the NDA and tell people about what went down in Hawkins and Nancy and Murray wanna do that too.
Wheeler Family: unlearning the propaganda. They get more serious about their children. Karen and Ted either get a divorce or go to marriage counseling but Karen can't keep up the housewife routine without Ted trying to do better. They apologize for not seeing Mike when he's at his lowest.
Sinclair Family: they're definitely more involved with Lucas and Erica's life after finding out all the danger their kids have been in. They are closer as the Sinclairs are the 1st adults (imo) after Jopper to get ready to fight demo creatures if it means protecting their loved ones. Charles Sinclair can fight cuz he was a war vet so he and Hopper are sharp shooters. They take in Max and treat her as their own child.
And that's just some stuff. But this is all for now cuz it was getting too long of an answer lol. Thanks for your ask!
How I think Game of Thrones should have ended
- Jon Snow rules the 6 kingdoms and ghost is brought to him
-Sansa is queen of the north ✓
-Bran accepts the title of the lord of Winterfell and is the three eyed raven
-Tyrion is the hand of the king ✓
-Dany doesn’t burn the entire goddamn city
-Arya and Dany team up to kill Cersei
-The hound kills the mountain
-Drogon burns the iron throne ✓
-Dany is cool with Jon being king because he’s a Targaryen and cersei is dead. She goes back across the sea with greyworm, the dothraki and unsullied and remains their Khaleesi
-Jaime lives and DOESN’T go back to Cersei. He stays with Brienne
-Arya stays alongside Jon and is knighted.
-Drogon eats euron greyjoy
My dream ending to Gilmore Girls is Logan and Rory getting back together and it ending with them finding out they are having a girl, basically the next generation of Gilmore Girls named Emily Lorelai
Is the remote cabin the site where no one will find Blaine's body for a good 75 years???
The show's obsession with the contradictions of power is the best thing about it--and its biggest problem.
Baby steps, people. Granted, I don't see this ending with full-scale democracy, but that doesn't mean we have to settle for a Targaryan restoration. How about the foundations for a constitutional monarchy for a start?
Dany, Tyrion and Jon team up to stop the apocalypse. Dany loses her dragons; at least on of them loses their life (my money's on Tyrion), but all the worst people (Littlefinger, Roose, Ramsay, Walder, etc. ) die as well.
Jon learns that he is a Targ, but decides to stay in the North, because fuck King's Landing. He marries a wildling, and resettles the vast area south of the Wall that used to belong to the Watch, like Ned had always wanted to. As a Gift Lord, Jon becomes quasi Ned 2.0, only with better diplomatic relations to the neighbouring wildling confederation.
Dany realizes that her true purpose is in Essos, where she works together with local institutions (the church of Rhollor, the widow of the waterfront) to sustainably reform the slaverbay economy in order to promote the success of her abolutionist agenda. But before she heads back, she finishes what her older brother started and summons that Great Council Rhaegar had been talking about before his tragic demise. Catelyn wanted to call one too, remember? To end the War of the Five Kings. Talk about a Chekov's political body.
Now all you need is for someone (eg Samwell or Davos) to whip up a constitution to make that Great Council a permanent feature of the political process and you've got yourself a House of Lords, with an eventual House of Commons suddenly not so much of a pipe-dream anymore.
Voilà, Westeros as a constitutional monarchy, with the monarch as the figurehead, the Hand as the prime minister, the great council as the parliament and the small council as the cabinett.
First Administration:
Queen: Shireen Baratheon
Hand: Davos Seaworth
Commander of the Queen's Guard: Brienne of Tarth
Master of Coins: some Tyrell (maybe Willas?)
Master of Laws: some Martell (hopefully Arianne; starting with some inheritance law reforms; let's get some gender equality in there!)
Master of Whispers: Arya Stark
Master of Ships: Asha Greyjoy
Grandmaester: Samwell Tarly
Bonus:
Sansa as Lady of Something or Other; I think her diplomatic skills will be crucial for getting the Martells and Tyrells on board. She might not want too much official power, taking a page from Olenna Tyrell's playbook, but as the de-facto head of House Stark, she'll surely work out a nice marriage alliance for baby Rickon at least. I imagine she'll get quite a bit done as a sister-in-law to the Queen....)
Sure, it's cheesy (almost as cheesy as the popular King John, Queen Dany, Hand Tyrion scenario). I fully expect Martin to kill off at least half of the characters mentionned on that list. But look at that line-up and tell me it wouldn't give you the tiniest bit of hope!
My ideal HIMYM ending
Ted: And that kids is how met your mother.
Penny: That was sweet dad.
Luke: Yeah that was a pretty nice story.
Ted: I'm glad you liked it, 'cause I know I certain- oh wow is that the time? I gotta go. See you guys soon. Love you! (Exits)
Penny: Oh my god...
Luke: I thought it was never going to end!
Penny: I know right? Why was it so long?
(Enter Tracy, off camera)
Tracy: Hi kids. Where's your dad gone?
Penny: He had to go and catch his train.
Tracy: His train... Huh. Hey, did I ever tell you guys the story of how I met your father?
Penny/Luke: (screaming) NO!!
