Manual Focus

My biggest concern on any shoot is control. I want full control of all settings, lighting, and mood, granted I cannot make the model do exactly what I want but it’s my personal style to let them flow and be creative. One of the key settings for me is focus, because I can chose what you see in the same way I saw it.

This image was shot fully manual, down to the focus, with a tac sharp lens but I insist on sometimes missing what would normally be considered a focus point. Her eyes are barely sharp, her clothes and hair dead on. It’s not the best practice but hell, I think it builds character and life in every frame.

Tiffany: No, he really doesn't know me. We've never met. He begged me to befriend him. Sad day.

Dreylon: DAAAAM, i know she's (pretty damn) hot but dude..... that's low

Tiffany: ^ hahaha. flattery gets you nowhere.

Marianna: that's his way of begging you not so subtley.

Goldberg: I didn't beg. I wrung out a story and put on my worst acting hands to type it up

Dreylon: who the fuck said i was flattering anyone

Goldberg: Drey was flattering ME

Tiffany: Oh, you're right Goldberg. When Dreylon said SHE, he obviouslyy meant you.

Goldberg: You don't even KNOW me, so I wouldn't be second guessing my gender like that so easily :D

Tiffany: That's true, Ms. Goldberg.

Marianna: I feel hitting on Tiffany's becoming a meme.

Dreylon: why not hit on her- im not even into white girls- but... idk man

Marianna: I'm into white girls ;)

Goldberg: Me too ;D
