jean is a big dude in a fancy investment firm. proud of his money and his flashy cars and his high-rise apartment. hitch is a broke-ass college first-year in desperate need of cash, so she applies to be a work student.

her grades are shit and she has no work-ex, and jean straight up asks her why she thought she was good enough to apply to his firm. she stutters through a pathetic excuse about not letting any opportunity slide, and he finds it amusing but asshole that he is: he says,

j: "well, the opportunity is gonna have to let you go sweetheart, you're simply not good enough to be here." h: "I have a strong work ethic, Mr Kirschtein, please give me a chance." j: "I can see you work hard on that body, but little else." Anyway she walks out, completely dejected

jean is an asshole, who, after months of screwing gorgeous models, journalists, politicians and wives of politicians, is jaded. he's a little bit fascinated by the blunt naivety of the girl who he interviewed, and finds himself thinking about her days after.

so when he has an important gala to attend, and he needs a date, he gives her a call. but instead of asking her out like a normal person, he says, "still need a job?" :D and that's how he gets her to agree to go on a date with him.

Where are all the Dreystein/JeanHitch shippers at?

I just realized how good/interesting that ship could be, seeing that they had similar character development, and are shown as leaders.

ITS GODLY I TELL U! Actually that’s my fave trope of all time I love to project it onto everybody and I intend on doing this with dreystein someday…
