But in general the way Rodimus handled the situation with Drift was just so...manipulative? And I think, in a characterization kind of way, manipulation is Rodimus's thing. But to see it played out like that, in a way that Rodimus has the power to fix things, doesn't, and still manages to spin it in a way that takes blame off of him is crazy.
He is a MASTER manipulator.
And i think that's something that's hella looked over. Even in a way that downplays the danger he's in with people, that overlooks Magnus's constant worries about the crew and his position, Rodimus's ability to manipulate others to what he wants, even if it endangers them, is fucking crazy.
I definitely believe it's a coping mechanism for everything he's been through, but at the same time it's not needed in the future and it's interesting to see how it impacts those around him.
