"Why are people suddenly uncomfortable with the dranart account?"
From what I have seen it's simple. She's becoming part of the 'Fandom-side' of the community. The side where fans of someone talk with each other with the thought that it will not be seen by said person OR someone said person is close to. Sure it happening every once in a while is funny, but it happening a lot is close to very parasocial behaviour.
The reason why a lot of people prefer Tumblr over Twitter to talk about fandom stuff, is because it's like a 'rule' to block every CC that is on said platform. Because a CC should not be an active part of the fandom. It's ABOUT them not FOR them.
However Twitter is different cause it's the platform CCs use to communicate with fans. You CAN'T block them on twitter otherwise you're gonna miss out on a lot of content. That's why some 'alt accounts' or 'nsfw accounts' block CCs cause they don't wanna see them there/don't want to ever have the possibility of being found by them.
So now dranart is the gf, and there's a fine line of it becoming VERY parasocial. I'm talking about people already treating her like a CC instead of just Dream's gf and the person running dranart. It's so far that people use the dranart account to actively communicate with her instead of just using it for fanart (including edtis etc.), what was the original purpose.
And back then this was fine because we didn't know how close dranart was with Dream. Some people didn't even know/forgot about the dranart account not being run by him anymore (or at least not all the time). Them once in a while liking non-fanart related stuff was fine. But it's becoming a norm now.
But now we know more, it's his girlfriend. Someone EXTREMELY close to him. And sure she supports dnf and fanart and everything. But the knowledge that she doesn't ONLY look for fanwork but also looks how people tweet otherwise can be uncomfortable for people.
The wall of 'Thats a random person who was assigned to support the fandom by sharing fanwork' is disappearing, because it isn't a random person anymore.
Everyone shaming artists (or people in general) with being uncomfortable with this and trying to turn this into a 'you're just jealous he got a gf'- thing should STOP saying bullshit like this. Cause some people simply don't WANT to interact with her. Because she is not a CC, she's Dream's girlfriend. We know almost nothing about her. But they also still want their fanart being shared and seen.
WHICH IS THE ORIGINAL PURPOSE OF THE DREAM FANART ACCOUNT.
If she really WANTS to communicate with the fans then she should simply make her own account instead of using the dranart one. Like that people can mute/block her if they're uncomfortable knowing she reads tweets about how people call her bf hot or whatever.
Just because she's fine and comfortable with it doesn't mean the fan has to be as well.
A person close to a CC or the CC themselves should never ever be part of the fandom. It's not for them, it's for the FANS. That's why its called FANDOM. And some people not realising this and shaming other for being uncomfortable is weird.
