At the start of their relationship, Regulus got Peter a really rare limited edition issue of his favourite comic, and that's when Peter realised how much Regulus truly cared about him and listened to his thoughts and interests. Of course, Peter knew that already, but this proved it even more since he's very insecure about whether people found him likeable or not.

So he impulsively bought Regulus a new bookshelf and built it in the middle of the night, and Rregulus woke up in the morning and was so confused why there was a fully set-up bookshelf in his room.

(Regulus is a heavy sleeper when he feels safe, like when he knows Peter is there beside him or in the room. Bro can sleep through an earthquake as long as Peter is curled up next to him. CANON.)
