A stupid oneshot about drunken shenanigans on New Year's Eve.

SUMMARY: Be a fly on the wall at the gang’s (notorious) New Year’s Eve party. Shadow connects with his mischievous side, Rouge exacerbates everything, Vanilla tries her best, Amy keeps the ship afloat, the Chaotix make for terrible wingmen, Tails gets a glimpse of maturity, and most of all, Sonic learns that hedgehogs and fermented apple don’t mix. 

Actually, everyone learns that, unfortunately.

Hello friends, long time no see. I found the time to put together this oneshot, I hope you enjoy it.

This oneshot is technically an extension on the comment Shadow makes in Chapter 9 of Adularescence, but I think you can read this disconnected from that series and it should still work. Let me know, either way!

I also attempt to write Sonadow. I feel as though I've rocked up to the Wagyu banquet as chopped liver ^^;

*Shadow sighs dreamily, snuggling down into Sonic’s arms with a smile* Married…

I mean I knew there were other universes out there, we’ve met Classic Me. It’s kinda nice that there’s more versions of us that are together.

Hmm. I dunno. *Sonic looks down at where Shadow is sleeping on top of him, combing a hand through his quills*

I’ve told him he’s hot…because he is. He knows I think the world of him. He pretty much knows all about my past.

*Sonic strokes a finger over one of Shadow’s ears, smiling at how it flicks*

I guess I could tell him how much I like him. How much I enjoy being with him. We’ve been stuck in here for 3 weeks and I still get excited to see him when we’ve been apart for a bit. I dream about him. I want to be with him all the…oh.

I think I love him.

Hey Shadow!

Why don’t you give Sonic a big ol’ smooch 💋

*Shadow reads the ask, throws away the paper, and kisses Sonic enthusiastically. Sonic is momentarily startled but quickly kisses back. His hands settle low on Shadow’s waist and Shadow makes a pleased purring sound and shifts so he’s fully leaning over Sonic. Sonic starts purring too, until he has to take a breath. He glances up at the camera in the corner and groans softly*

Shadow…wait…*Sonic pulls away and turns his head, breathing heavily. Shadow, unbothered, starts kissing at Sonic’s jaw and neck*

Shads…you gotta stop. *Sonic grabs Shadow’s shoulders and pushes him away a little. Shadow’s eyes are lidded and his pupils blown. He growls in displeasure and tries to get closer again. Sonic looks like he wants to give in but shakes his head* Slow down, ok? *Sonic kisses Shadow’s cheek*

I promise I would love nothing more than to continue this. Believe me. But we can’t.

So…it’s not me?

Gaia, no. It’s really, really not you.

*Sonic picks up his drink and takes a sip* Thanks. I needed this after yesterday. *He slides the other glass to Shadow* Drink up. You had a shitty day too.

Well you don’t have to if you don’t want to. No biggie.

I suppose one drink couldn’t hurt. *Shadow sips on his slowly over several minutes*

Guys Jet is fuming after seeing that clip of you guys laughing off his "totally impressive" challenge against Shadow to win Sonic. He has trying to get Sonjet supporters to be on his side about this but nobody's been listening.

Haha. Well. I’m sure that’s working out great for him!

*Shadow tugs Sonic closer with an arm around his waist. He nuzzles against the bite mark on Sonic’s neck*
