The fact that everyone's DSMP hyperfixation has revived itself around the same time is actually wild
seeing people mention the dream smp in conversation is so wild to me like I keep forgetting that most of us went through the phase, I just happen to be one of the few still clinging on
Michael's final moment
A Michael_Beloved animatic about his final moments, because he is an underappreciated character, and has so much potential.
A ramble about him under cut.

- bugs
- bones
- talk of death and decay
- I think there is a slight flash but I'm unsure? So flashing warning just in case
There are just so many similarities between Kore and Technoblade, I can't even take it! >:0
I'm reqatching Techno's old DSMP vods and I just keep hearing him say things that Kore would totally say. TvT
Or, like, things that he basically HAS said, and I just love it so much. :')
While I can wrap my head around the fact that the DSMP was like 4 years ago, I’m now coming to realize that 4 years ago for me and for a LOT of the people still DSMP posting on my timeline looks very different.
If a current dsmp fan is now 18, 4 years ago they were FOURTEEN!!
And I feel like that’s still kind of on the older side of the posters that come up on my TL. Like you were in middle school. You were 13? 12? 11???? I was a whole ass 17! I was about to graduate high school!
I suppose it’s fair to assume that the vast majority of people my age or older have moved on to different things, as this isn’t our first rodeo. And don’t get me wrong, I definitely don’t think about DSMP half as much as I did back in the day, but I feel like my current QSMP fixation lends itself to crossing over into the DSMP space fairly often.
It’s fascinating to see kids posting about missing that era now with the added piece in my mind that they were literally so young. And they still fucking are. And please please please don’t get it twisted I’m not saying I enjoy talking to minors bc I really gain nothing from a conversation with someone still in high school and in their first fandom experience. Any time I run into these ppl on ponytown, webfishing, etc I am reminded why I prefer staying in the 18+ servers bc people there are just more on the same page as me bc of where we are in life.
But like binch doesn’t even KNOW Voltron?? Or like ? maybe? Do they know undertale or is that just the thing that Tommy and ranboo used music from a few times to them? Is it this old game that their peers haven’t heard of?
Not that that old fandom knowledge is so important but it just really puts into perspective for me how different our experiences are with this same piece of media. “Media” being used kind of loosely but you know what I mean.
And yet it still is very important to each of us in a unique way. It’s just a little sobering to begin to comprehend how different those experiences are
Sorry if this is a lot of nothing I just got out of the shower and had some thoughts
imagine you were mining in the nether, decided to went back to the overworld just to see half the server gone
I like to think that when Tommy was in exile, he learned how to draw because he didn’t have anything else to do that was fun. So a lot of the things that he kept in his secret base away from Dream was drawing of his real friends. The ones that abandoned him…
He also learned how to crochet! It was something that kept his shaky hands busy. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Tommy had shaky hands that could sometimes mess up his drawings because he couldn’t hold the pencil still enough. It was always there but got worse during exile, maybe because he was stressed or maybe because he was dehydrated. Waking up in the ocean is not the type of water he needed.
Dream who also loved to draw and slowly started drawing more and more of Tommy. However, it would get increasingly disturbing. It could start out as something simple like the two of them hanging out to turning into a more detailed gory piece of art.
Dream definitely spent a lot of time on his drawings, sometimes when Tommy was out mining or collecting whatever he needed, Dream would sit down in Tommy’s tent and just sketch something out. His thoughts weren’t the most sane during this time so a lot of the sketches were pretty messed up.
Tommy eventually stumbled across it when Dream “accidentally” left it in Tommy’s tent. However, he didn’t mean to leave the ones that could have freaked Tommy out, for whatever reason. But back to crocheting. The only color yarn Dream would get him would be in his colors so Tommy had to forever live with the fact that he was Dream’s and there was nothing he could do about. Even the stuff he made was subconsciously altered to fit what Dream wanted.
TNT duo parallels/ contrasts
C!quackity clinging to anything he has, while wilbur wants to keep everyone at arms lenght is so interesting??
They both had nothing in the beginning and passionately fought for their causes. While c!quackity (in my eyes) wanted to archieve likeability through relatability (at least in lmanburg days), he never made an effort to hide who he was.
Wilbur on the other hand strived for something higher than himself. He always wanted to put on a great show, a character. And if you play a character for too long, you can't just ... Stop (It's an older sibling thing, i'm sure). He played on and on for so long that he saw only death as a means to stop his course to damnation.
Meanwhile c!quackity put up a barricade (instead of a fascade). Don't trust anyone and all that. His character felt physically and emotionally isolated until charlie came along. And oh, how c!quackity was thankful for that little guy that followed him around and listened carefully to every word he said (never had that before / didn't last long). He taught him lessons - parallel to the life advice tommy would receive from wilbur.
While revivedburs physicality felt like he had no physical boundaries (like personal space, getting hurt, ect.) he had huge emotional ones, which i think are best presented to us in "hitting on 16" where tommy gives him the glass of water and mans is so in his role of stone hard unemotional leader, that he can't even thank his closest friend.
He wouldn't ever let tommy know how much he meant to him... Until the finale. C!quackity also protects charlie for charlies sake. Not for his own. Wilbur (esp. Revivedbur) protects others to proove a point.
