Riley isn't actually Black American? I thought they were Jamaican? And just born in the US? They don't have the history to use AAVE. In fact they taught it to themselves so...

Riley is not Jamaican and I don’t believe they are Black American either. They’re West Indian; Trinidadian to be exact. That’s the only claim (amongst many) that is consistent. I think they said they were first generation but I’m not sure. 

They seem to be telling people they’re East Asian now, but everyone knows that Riley pretends to be Japanese on their sockpuppet accounts, like their pokipon account that has been deleted since everyone caught wind of it. They said they were “raised by East African relatives and Caribbean relatives" over here on The Arkh Project. So no, it doesn’t seem like they have a history with AAVE at all. Apparently they don’t have it with Trinidadian Creole English either.
