Starting later than anticipated but we STILL STARTING. Time for a nice Yugioh DuelLinks stream! Climbing to KoG! Won't you come visit? https://twitch.tv/sharklad93
I’m hoping this is the first of many Duel videos I get to do
HALLELUJAH!
I have some really great news! When The Dueling Network was shut down 2 years ago, it made me sad because I couldn’t do online dueling anymore. But I just found out that there is a replacement called The Dueling Book. I can do online dueling again!
Does anyone know if there’s an online deck builder that works like the one from Dueling Network?
All the ones I’m finding are...much less efficient.
Any suggestions?
Once a place where everyone complained about the programming and noobs, now everyone wants it back
Okay, so I was really excited that there was going to be this new Dueling platform for Yugioh Fans in the vein of Dueling Network, called Dueling Book. And then I see this is the requirement for being an admin. At first I was like "Oh okay this is obviously a joke, haha, they're poking fun at the DN staff and...they're...they're not stopping...If this is a joke they're going on a little too long with it...This isn't a joke is it? They actually are not allowing virgins to be admins." Then I read the second qualification, and now I'm fucking pissed. That is SO fucking ableist. I've never experienced something so fucking discriminatory in the Yu-Gi-Oh! community before. This is absolutely infuriating, and to be quite honest, kind of heartbreaking. This is not something I want representing a community that I invest a lot of time and money into and get a lot of enjoyment out of. The worst part is that they seem to really believe that they're NOT being discriminatory. They refuse to recognize that autism is not one singular disorder with the same set of symptoms across the board, but a spectrum with varying degrees of symptoms, and that some autistic people would absolutely be capable of administering a site like this. This absolutely insane and aggravating. As much as I was looking forward to a new dueling platform, I refuse to support anybody so blindingly ableist.

tl;dr - Yu-Gi-Oh! is dead now, play something else, lol.
Skip to last paragraph if you want to hear something far more soothing and less vengeful about games like Yu-Gi-Oh! Thanks. =)
I am putting this in tumblr because twitter is currently my happy place right now with Klonoa at SGDQ. This is going to be the place where I rant right now about the state of Yu-Gi-Oh! as we speak and I’m going to unleash f***ing hellfire and brimstone right now.
So as of today, the people in charge of the game has taken down BOTH Dueling Network and YGOPro. I....have no f***ing words to describe this. I am literally at my breaking point with the entire game altogether. Konami has continued and CONTINUED to f*** us over numerous times. I don’t even know what to say of Konami themselves. They’re FINALLY bringing DDR back in arcades, but then turn to pull this s***. I guess it’s fitting since Roxor Games was dealing with the same thing with In the Groove, so why the f*** should I be surprised that Konami would do the very same thing?
But I literally have absolutely no patience with the company as we speak. If they would f***ing give us content that actually matches up with software like...I don’t know...Dueling Network, YGOPRO!? What’s next? They decide to take away all sites with Stepmania, K-Shootmania, even Osu!? But is Konami really in charge of what’s going on with the YGO simulators? Yes and no, because they would know what (NAS?) is doing...there’s no reason Konami and NAS are not in cahoots over this.
But this is a slippery slope and I think I am actually considering selling all my cards. I never thought I would stoop that low, but I really have had it that much with Yu-Gi-Oh! No banlist schedules, AWFUL balance issues with the game itself, and removing these on a whim; they all add up to the epitome of anti-consumerism. Konami has already f***ed everything else up. Literally the only thing Konami even has left to deliver is Bemani games and f***ing pachinko machines. They are officially the worst game company in the history of games ever!
I kid you not, if something in YGO does not make up for this real soon, I will probably just sell everything YGO. There’s no reason to continue to suffer through the tyranny of the company in charge of...quite honestly a great game. I realize that copyright is copyright...yeah, I finally get into that, but I still believe the last thing to do within a company is crack down on copyright infringement over working to improve the product’s appeal. But of course, Konami doesn’t recognize that. I don’t have to have any knowledge of anything but common sense to know that Konami literally wants to send themselves to ruin, and you know what? Good for you. Burn, Konami. Rot in f***ing hell for enslaving us all and making us believe in the false hope of better days. Nope, sorry. It’s not going to happen. The very best everyone should probably do is sell all their YGO cards and play something else competitively. Probably...unless Konami can somehow pull this out of their asses.
Otherwise...yeah, I need to get back to better things. I need to get back to being happy after SGDQ. I’m sorry for having you all suffer through my rage, but maybe people are happy to hear someone like me lay the line like that. Honestly...word of advice...please don’t get to the place I just did and lose all respect for game developers. There are better games out there, better communities of games, a better life. I’ve had more joy from the Klonoa community than any game put together, and I barely even played the games themselves. Please don’t harbor bitterness, and just have fun with games, as Satoru Iwata liked to say. Thank you!
