So I patched and after farming and dooting around, I log onto Alon and get a note to go to the Grove because of a memorial to Trahearne.
TL:DR; I’m doing to quest to restore Caladbolg! This is really good because this is amazing character development for Alon!
Note: I use a lot of the personal story to build up/piggy back a main story plot off my characters.
When Alon was forced to hand over Caladbolg to Trahearne, he never forgave his older brother nor the Pale tree for taking what he rightfully got back. Alon held onto that resentment for years.
Years passed, he did all the secret shit the Whispers asked of him, Maguuma happened, etc. (Alon in his canon is kind of like the old vet that wants to retire but they need him for one last mission, type thing.)
So in learning that he can be the rightful owner of what he had been for years upon years. (I canon alon is older than in the vanilla game experience)
Let’s just say he didn’t really shed any tears over having to kill Trahearne, and he won’t shed many tears over his passing.
Also I’m def gonna draft a short comic... because let’s just say that Alon isn’t the most ‘Pure of Heart’ for the sword. :^)
