I saw an email from my choir teacher about a seminar and some concerts we were supposed to do in the next week.

I panicked, thinking that we would still be rehearsing and performing in spite of a whole-ass pandemic (bc of course I did. The fact that my cycle magnifies any stress and anxiety I feel was super helpful, too 👌👌👌), so I wrote an email to tell him that I *sadly* could not make it.

He replied basically saying: girl all thats cancelled didn't you get the email?

I did. It was the one I had just read.

I broke out in sweat, felt my stomach drop, and defenestrated any iota of rational thought I had

because I couldn't take an extra ten seconds to reread an email and skipped to the bottom where all the "important dates and times" were
