This post contains spoilers to the original Persona 5, and by extension Persona 5 Royal as well. Trigger warning: this post also contains mention of abuse and violence.
So I mentioned the AU of swapping Persona 5 characters around (I am currently calling it Dumbswap AU, but I am accepting feedback on this). One of the first swaps I thought of was Joker and Lavenza. Haha, it's so silly.
I forgot some of the stuff Joker goes through, especially early on. So now we got Lavenza being beat up by the police after her arrest in the sixth palace. Don't worry, I didn't forget the drugging and forced confession.
I'm sure there is nothing wrong with this happening to a five-year-old. Okay, technically we don't know how old she is, but we do know how tall she is, and that is around the same height as a five-year-old.
At least we still got coffee dad. I'm swapping Sojiro with Sojiro. He doesn't deserve the confusing mess of being swapped around.
As a side note, I'm not doing any other swaps that is between a Phantom Thief and a non-Phantom Thief (Akechi is considered a Phantom Thief, for this rule) because I don't want to have to invent a million thief outfits, personas, and all-out attacks. To the one person who suggested Yoshida swapping with Ryuji, I love your idea and enthusiasm, but designing Lavenza's theif outfit has been a pain, and it's mostly been based on stuff from the source material.
But don't worry, I thought of a much better swap for Ryuji...
